Need help with Paint Color for Bedroom
We're starting a major master bath remodel soon which will involve moving the bathroom door and adding a new door to my closet on the same wall of the bedroom. After the bath remodel is complete, I want to replace all of the carpet on the second floor, and thinking of using a beige/neutral color like we have now for all of the bedrooms and the hallway.
I really want to pick a paint color for the bedroom so I can at least paint the one wall that will be modified before door trim goes on. We have rosewood bedroom furniture, and the house has all wood stained trim (see left side of first picture). We are planning to replace the interior doors (now cheap luan) with fir single panel doors which should blend well with the existing trim color. Not sure if we will stain them or just seal.
I need help picking a paint color that will work with these elements. Here are pics of the furniture, which is quite dramatic. The wood color ranges between dark red and orange, mixed with dark grain that is almost black on some pieces.

Comments (12)For my daughter’s room (which faces north east) we plan on painting it BM slip. The room across the hall (facing south west, I suppose), I wanted to do in BM Beach Glass. I painted a sample board. It’s a beautiful color, just worried it will be too dark in this room. Am also thinking about BM Silken Pine or BM Healing Aloe. The room next to my daughter’s room (further north than east) will be my son’s room. Sapele bunk bed, navy sheets. Am thinking BM edgecomb gray (LRV 63) or gray owl (LRV 67), though I’ve read that gray owl can be a minty green in certain lighting. The problem is little lighting as there is only one window. The hallway will be BM Wickham Gray. This is the one color that will stay as is because it works with the great room and the main foyer. Comments (9)Love that bed, those curtains and a classic look! Hard to tell colors in the curtains, but maybe a soft blush or cream for paint? We changed my youngest daughters room four different times throughout her years. Paint and comforters, tried to stick with furniture pieces that would age with her. At one point, she had pink, lime, purple and zebra! She picked it out and loved it at the time, but looking back- I'm not sure how she fell asleep, I know it jarred my senses when I was in there! 6 years agolast modified: 6 years agoI used greenwhich village paint by behr in my bath with a mahagony vanity and grey floors. I ran out of steam so ended up painting the bed room the same color. My doors are dark wood but my bed room furniture is pine and I think the greenwhich village in the bedroom reads bluer and in the bath it leans grey.

6 years agoMy walls lean more blue grey and almost all blue in full light. So not a warm feel more cool. I loved jade dragon near my vanity when we were shopping colors. It just was not great with my bedroom furniture. but if you like Green's any in this strip would work with your stunning wood furniture!
