On your solenoid there are 2 small terminals . 1 will have a ground presents if all the safety switches are online and the other 12V when the key switch is activated purple I think. If you have both- maybe you have a bad solenoid. This is old enough to where corrosion at the ignition, fuse block and brake switch connectors could be present. If you can safely jump across the 2 large terminals and it cranks, that would satisfy that side of the starting system- that the engine is crankable and the starter, battery and main grounds are good.

I've tinkered with several bundled software packages and they are far from junk. Yes, if a user has too many installed they can step on one another. However, to use a broad paint brush to condemn all applications and declare card readers the absolute messiah to photo transfers is a stretch. In all, a card reader is a quality viable option. In my mind what bundled software actually are are self-serving for the manufacturer, "lite" applications and redundant. I've only ever kept one which I found easy to use to stitch panoramas. For most amateurs like myself free applications like Irfanview and Picasa are more than adequate. Installing the camera driver is absolutely a minor task and historically safe. In fact, it is not harder than installing any other driver. Since as a reader I had no knowledge to the experience and the financial well-being of the poster as I normally try to do stayed within the parameters of the thread rather than forcing the writer off the original question. Though I have God knows how many card readers on the front of my system I personally find for my use connecting the transfer wire faster and easier. 1-2-3. Nothing to it. DA

I know this is a long time coming. But I remembered this question when I ran across the following information recently. If you have XP Home, Go to your control panel, Double Click the Scanners and Cameras folder to open Connect your camera and turn it on then Right-click on the Camera Icon Left Click on Properties Left Click on the "Events" Tab in the Camera Pop-Up Window There you can either set a program such as "Microsoft Scanners and Camera Wizard" or put a check in "Prompt for which program to run". Which will open that options menu you speak of. There are two other choices there that are pretty well self explanatory. Make sure you click on "Apply" and "OK" If you Use Kodak Easy Share programs below is some other information about seeing your camera in My Computer. For a Windows XP operating system, it is not possible to see the camera as a drive letter when EasyShare software is installed. You can mount the camera as a drive using the Windows imaging acquisition (WIA) driver. To change from the Kodak driver to the WIA driver, do the following: Connect and turn on the camera. In the Transfer window, click Cancel. On the desktop, right-click the My Computer icon, and then select Properties. Select the Hardware tab, and then click Device Manager. Click the + sign in front of Universal Serial Bus controllers, and then select the Kodak camera. Select the Driver tab, and then click Update Driver. Select Install from a list or specific location, and then click Next. Select Don't search. I will choose the driver to install, and then click Next. Select Digital Still Camera, and then click Next. Thanks for commenting. How would you check if the compressor is being fed power? I unplugged the unit a few times and test for continuity of the compressor pins. I also checked the overload protector and the start relay. They all seem to work as far as I can tell. I believe it's probably main PCB issue because resetting the circuit by unplugging, pushing the on/off power button, or running it through its service diagnostic program eventually kicks the compressor back on. So eventually the compressor through manual intervention always come back on by doing this, reaches the temperature set (recently I set it to -24C and it got there no problem), but then just turns off after that. Normally as the defrost cycle ends it would kick on again but this is the issue; it doesn't restart the compressor power on its one as the temperature warms up again. I have to manually do one of the three interventions mentioned above then it will come back on only to rinse and repeat the same scenario. Doesn't help that Liebherr doesn't make any of these parts for my model anymore and I can't even find used ones online either.
