I just moved in to a new home and put my old bedroom furniture into our new guest room. We have guests coming and I would like to put up window treatments. Lateley I have been loving black curtain rods with white drapes and bamboo shades. However, after staring at the room, noticing the brass on the headboard, nightstands and dresser, as well as the nickle hardware in the bathroom (see photos), I am not sure my original plan will work.

Instead, I am thinking of a brass curtain rod and white/cream linen drapes. What do you think? And do you think I should still do a bamboo shade? Otherwise any other ideas for black out shades to layer under curtains? Thanks!!
