Can I see your Costa Esmeralda seams
Comments (2)I have about 60 sf of counter top and was lucky to only have one seem down the middle of the sink. It is nearly impossible to see it. Only when the light hits it a certain way. My fabricator used a grey color that blends beautifully. My costa has green, grey and black in it. Here are some shots. Not sure if they help since it is so hard to see the seam. Comments (37)The hot tamale train!!???!! That rocks Mrsandrews!!!!! Thank you. Which granite did you end up with?? I know, I know. I need to calm myself down before I freak out again. I mean, soon the appliances are going in, then window treatments. I can't post another "oh no, this is too XXX" everytime I frickin put something new in my kitchen!!! Thanks neesie! I didn't realize I was being too sensitive. To me, from a technical perspective, it just doesn't match up. I've seen some kick a$$ seams on GW where they match perfectly, and we had two big slabs for them to choose from, so I was just expecting that they could do a better job. But maybe my expectations are too high. And no, my mother-in-law has told me before, for goodness sakes, don't point out the flaws!! Thanks Patricia!!...See MoreHow's this seam? good, ok, bad?

Comments (2)melrose drive: When a seam is as nicely cut and consistently gapped as is yours, it is symptomatic of out-of-plane surfaces. Place a straightedge over your seam. I'll bet it rocks. That's because the bottom of the top is touching before the top because the decks are out of plane to each other. It could be just cut out of square. I'd take a Japanese pull saw down that seam, separate it, clean it, put the pieces on plane, and do it over nice and tight....See Morebwspot
