Fulgor Milano
Comments (0)Wondering if anyone has any experience or heard of anyone else's experience with the brand Fulgor Milano. I came across it in my search for a counter-depth fridge that will allow the bins to slide out with the doors only opened at 90 degrees. Costco sells it and they usually carry great brands, but I can't find a single review of their refrigerators online. http://www.costco.ca/Fulgor-Milano-600-Series--Counter-Depth-20.8-cu.ft.-Stainless-steel-French-Door-Refrigerator-.product.100294856.html...See MoreFulgor Milano Range
Comments (308)@Boxer Momma - Thank you. I should note that I do have marble as a backsplash so that may contribute a bit to the depth of the range top, but not much. However, if ripping out the cabinets, I may ask the cabinet maker to make those cabinets a bit deeper than the 24 inch standard. Of course, you must also consider whether you have enough room on the opposite side. All Range tops stick out a bit, so I would think that an inch or inch and a half deeper cabinets would be all you'd need. It would also be wise to check out your local appliance showroom to see how much the other brands protrude from the counters. I find I have plenty of room on my 36 inch, but I don't often use a griddle. My kids are grown now and out of the house, and although I do cook every day, I usually use a smaller griddle, the grill out back, or do things like bacon, eggs, etc in the oven if I'm cooking for a crowd. Pay attention to the burner layout as well. I like that the 36 inch has the two larger burners in the front, the very large one in the center and the two smaller ones (which I use infrequently) in the back. I am very very happy with FM, and just love the knobs as it only takes a second to turn down a burner if it's too high and it reponds immediately. I also have to say that I love the Wolf double ovens. I too was considering the GE as I had had GE before and they worked pretty well for almost 30 years. I do notice a difference in the Wolf, especially with baking. I was a bit leary of GE and Cafe when the company was bought out by Haier (a Chinese company) and just wasn't sure how that would affect the brand. I also loved the service I got from Wolf and Subzero, when my appliance store ordered the wrong fridge and after waiting 11 months would do nothing about it. I called Subzero and had a new fridge in 3 weeks. Good luck, All these decisions are not easy....See MoreAnyone have experience with Fulgor Milano 36" dual fuel Sofia range?
Comments (1)Have experience with a 30" dual fuel Sofia range which was purchased in 2017. Loved it at first and then the problems started. A front burner wouldn't ignite properly. Then the first time using self clean, just low setting to test it, the circuit board/control panel failed rendering the oven unusable. Repair guy (only company who works on FM) damaged the finish when prying the top off to do repair. Turns out it is only stainless steel "look" around the cooktop, not real stainless steel, so scuffs and scratches easily revealing a plastic looking undersurface. Really disappointing. After talking to a different repair person found out that this problem using self clean is a common complaint so haven't tried it again for fear we'd lose use of the oven once more. Self-clean was one of the features we wanted and now it is useless. Then the internal fan required for venting crapped out. Steam builds up between glass panels, temp doesn't regulate properly and exterior of oven (handles, knobs etc) get super hot. Basically oven is barely usable again and this happened right when the warranty expired. This range was a very costly purchase for us and I rely heavily on it since we eat entirely home prepared & cooked food. Now we are stuck with a lemon that we can ill afford to keep repairing. Never ever would I buy a Fulgor Milano product again!...See MoreFulgor Milano induction range and dishwasher reviews?
