Does anyone know what this microplaner is intended for?

DH just bought a set of microplaners that all have a different blade pattern. One is obvifor ribbons, one for zesting, etc. We can’t figure out what this is for.
They all have a plastic cup attachment to catch whatever your chopping up.
Here’s the blade pattern.

Comments (9)Thanks for your replies, wirosarian, Jackie, Patty, and SoFL rose. I'm surprised to hear that our temps could be cold enough to cause this. We have days in the 60's and nights in the 40's lately. But, I guess it does make sense, because if it was much colder, it wouldn't bloom at all. I never would have considered cold temperatures causing it. Some sort of bug was consistently ruining the buds on Irish Creme during the summer. I just assumed it was the same thing. I think you guys maybe correct. I'm looking more closely now, and I don't really see chewing from a pest. I'm glad I asked, because I never once thought it could be anything but pest damage. Comments (22)Of course how it keys out. My comment was meant to indicate that I don't know what the keys say for these species. Now that I had more time this evening, I looked up some bloom pics and it appears that the 2 species have different colored blooms, so that would be an obvious thing one could observe and not need to delve deeper. I'm not cheerleading for 1 ID or another, just provided food for thought. The height is not something that would make or break an ID. That type of info comes from growers in locations where plants are outside in the ground in a suitable climate. A potted plant often does not resemble ground plantings. They can stay shorter, stretch taller & etiolated, lean, fade, get darker, have faded blooms, etc... Many plants' natural height is limited by gravity and wind. Taller stalks break or lean, and many then take root where they touch the ground. With something to prop against inside, it can be possible to cultivate much taller specimens than what is observed "in the wild."...See More
