There's a whole bunch of plants in that photo!! Could you possibly isolate the one in question and provide clear, close up photos of it?

I apologize I was trying to get as much of it in the picture as I could. It's the tall one in the center growing all over the place. Here are some close ups of some branches. I can't move it from it's position to get the whole thing by itself it isn't strong enough to support itself and have naturally grown to use the furniture for support.

This is as clear as my crappycrappy can get I'm afraid

It's never flowered before in the two years I've had it. It just grows and grows lol

It is a full sun plant, that's why yours looks so etiolated.

It should look like this if it's getting enough light.

I try to provide as much light as I can with grow lights. I was at Aldi's and they had a few that wasn't doing so good from not being watered I have a habit of saving the dying plants at the store that's how I ended up with it

It is described as a 'succulent shrub' and is not intended to be a 'house plant'.

You can't supply enough grow lights to fulfill its needs.

It's a native of south Africa usda zone 9a. They take drought very well once established and don't like wet soil for any length of time but do like some water occasionally during the summer. :-)

No, but it would grow well outside for you in the summer, provided it's in well-draining soil to handle your summer rain storms.

A summer in the sun makes all the difference imo.

Just remember to break it in slowly the first several times outside.

I don't know if well-draining would be enough though.

I might find a place, southern exposure, back under some overhang, so too often of rains wouldn't get to it. I'm talking 'in the pot' here.

You can prune this late winter to bring it back into submission. :-)

Also compare to Curio (Senecio) talinoides. I have no idea how one separates the talinoides from the barbertonicus, beyond alphabetically. :)

Tiffany, the difference would be how the flower keys out, IIRC.

BillMN-z-2-3-4 pruning part scares me a little. I've never cut anything living off any of my plants. Just dead stuff. I'm scared I'm going to hurt them.

Tiffany I'll keep that in mind but looking at the page you posted that one is max 3ft tall and what I found about senecio barbertonicus says it can reach 6ft. My plant being 6ft tall makes me think the others are right. But unless I can get it to flower not going to know for sure since apparently I haven't been able to give it everything it needs and it been growing to try and reach my lights

Succulents are the dream plant for inexperienced pruners. :-)

Cut them down to make the plant more stable, and they'll put out new shoots.

Make sure to use sharp shears that you disinfect them first with 10% bleach in water.

Of course how it keys out. My comment was meant to indicate that I don't know what the keys say for these species. Now that I had more time this evening, I looked up some bloom pics and it appears that the 2 species have different colored blooms, so that would be an obvious thing one could observe and not need to delve deeper.

I'm not cheerleading for 1 ID or another, just provided food for thought. The height is not something that would make or break an ID. That type of info comes from growers in locations where plants are outside in the ground in a suitable climate. A potted plant often does not resemble ground plantings. They can stay shorter, stretch taller & etiolated, lean, fade, get darker, have faded blooms, etc... Many plants' natural height is limited by gravity and wind. Taller stalks break or lean, and many then take root where they touch the ground. With something to prop against inside, it can be possible to cultivate much taller specimens than what is observed "in the wild."

Tiffany I'll add that to the list of possibilities. Thank you for so many possibilities. I now know what to look for. Unfortunately seems like the only way I'm going to know what I have is if I ever get it to bloom. 

That last one did say you can propagate it from the leaves. Which this is the only one of my succulents I have not successfully been able to do with a leaf that has fallen off. But that's not to say I just haven't been doing it right. It's completely possible I don't know what I'm doing and I just been really lucky with the others

The leaf propagation would be fun if it works. Leaves that fall off won't be candidates. You'll need to remove a healthy, vigorous leaf to try that.

Stem cuttings should take root, no matter which exact plant it is. If you're nervous about cutting, you can put a pot under one of the leaning branches and lay a smallish rock on the stem to hold it onto the soil surface. Spritz that spot with a spray bottle a few times per week and in a few months, roots will probably be forming where the stem contacts the soil. When ready, cut the connecting stem and voila! New plant. That's called ground layering.

@Mewmew Designs yeah, the last ID from @Tiffany, purpleinopp Z8b Opp, AL is the correct one. It's a Peperomia ferreyrae. Still basically the same as what was already suggested meaning it's a succulent shrub of sorts. They respond rather well to pruning and the cuttings root easily. I've never had luck propagating a single leaf, but there's always a chance.

It is a tad stretched out but eh, no big deal in my opinion. Pruning fixes that pretty easily. I am going to push back slightly on not being able to provide enough light for them indoors. A couple of PAR38 LED floodlights will provide more than enough light for the plant if kept on for about 12 hours a day. You can find PAR38 LEDs on Amazon for pretty cheap or at your local hardware/big box store. I picked up a 12 pack of 90 watt equivalent PAR 38s at Lowe's the other week for $3 I think.

Thank you everyone I cut a couple pieces off going to slowly prune it back. The first two clippings have sprouted roots. I wouldn't have known to let them sit without water for a few days without your help
