I just use straight sweet almond oil. Nothing in it. You could add a drop or two of fragrance if you want, but it's one of the things I avoid. I have tried many. This sampler was: Avocado, almond, olive, fractionated coconut, grapeseed, and castor. They all feel nice and so does my skin, except castor oil. It felt really weird. But if I ever had really super duper dry skin again, I'd get another bottle and use it for as long as it lasted. Worked wonders. Almond is more middle of the road. Not too light, not too oily.

Oil is a great cleanser. I'm a fan of coconut oil for everything...I mean...it's great for ALL parts of you, inside and out...

I have used Bobbi Brown Soothing cleansing oil for years. A couple of pumps does it and a bottle lasts a long time. Plus I get free travel sizes all the time so I don’t think I will ever run out. It’s kukui nut and sunflower oil and very light, both in texture and smell, which I really like.

I don't use anything special on my face, just soap and water all my life. Most of the time it is Dove.

My son was using Dove Sensitive as per dermatologist and I tried it ONCE and it was a NO for me. Made my face feel dry and tight. I use Clinique liquid face wash but I only washing my face in the morning when I take a show so I was trying to find something for the lazy girl to use at night.

Any soap like bar soap is very drying to me too, especially in my face. Can’t do it.

I use Cereve hydrating facial wash, followed by the facial lotion. I don't have any reviews one way or the other though. My dermatologist likes this brand. I used Oil of Olay products for years but they began stinging/burning my face upon application, even the ones for sensitive skin. :( I hadn't heard of the cleansing oils before now.

Lest anyone think I'm nutso, cleansing with straight oil isn't my idea. I went on vacation and my son loved the bathroom products so well, he wanted me to get them for the house. When I went on their website, I saw that they had cleansing oils. Once it got to me, I decided I'd never go back to drying soap, which I have reactions to anyhow. It was expensive! and I didn't use it on my face since it had fragrance in it. I researched to see if I could find cheaper alternatives, and found there are loads of people, multiple websites (here's one, with the breakdown of how to and "recipes") dedicated to it, using oil for their facial routine. So it's not a new idea, but my skin feels loads better, has fewer chemicals than traditional products, and it's far less expensive than other stuff. Good luck!

I’ve been using Amore Pacific for years. About once a week a use their exfoliating powder wash as well. It’s about $50 a bottle but it lasts 6-7 months.

CeraVe is products my sons dermatologist recommends as well. For cleansing I like something that is gentle but not drying or stripping which my face wash doesn't do but I feel like if I wash my face at night too, it will be too much. That's why I don't wash my face as night...besides being lazy and hate washing my face over the sink. So I was thinking an oil cleaner wouldn't be drying.

I suggest coconut oil, as I mentioned. Unlike other oils I've tried, any residue will soak into your skin quickly, doing away with the ick-grease-on-my-face factor.

I love Palmers cocoa butter and used it throughout all 4 pregnancies. Not one single stretch mark (I'm sure it's not just due to that, but I don't really care....It worked for me, plus gave me very fond memories!).

Way back in 1970 or so, there was a cleansing oil that my mother had that was castor oil based. I remember using it (I was 16 or so at the time) and being amazed that it didn't leave my skin oily, just fresh and soft. I used it to get stage makeup off from the school play and it was wonderful for that. I want to say the brand was Fashion 220 but, although that brand exists today, they don't have a similar product.

My Mother always used Pond's cold cream, but I did not. I think no stretch marks is hereditary, I did not use anything, had four children and I have no stretch marks. My Granddaughter has no stretch marks either.
