BM Beacon Gray - anyone use this paint color?

Painters are coming Wednesday to paint my son's room. Pottery Barn recommended I use BM Beacon Gray paint color to go with his bedding, which is navy, white and gray (pics below). I thought this wall color would look nice and grow with him....I could also add some pops of orange w/ accessories.
Wondering if anyone has this in their home. Will it turn purple-y at all? I have BM Pelican Gray in my master bedroom. I dont want the 2 colors to look too similar!

Comments (6)Just go shopping and look at things you might like. My towels are from Target and the tassel lamp is from a flea market, artwork from Stein Mart, candles from TJMaxx. Just take your time in finding things you like. I think the white tiles will look great with that color. You have far more light with white tiles than I had with the blue pearl granite. Go for it. Do almost everything in white and it will have a cozy spa look. Do you have a shower curtain? If not, look for one similar to a flame stitch or an ikat which would have several colors, including a cool color like your paint and maybe some fiery reds and do all the rest in white. Comments (13)Edgecomb has NO blue. If anything it veers tan. In our light (NorthEast) Grey Cashmere runs very greeny blue. You could definitely try Horizon OC 53 which tends to run blue. Could also try Moonshine which would be slightly greyer and quite a bit warmer/greener IMO. My friend swears by paper white and paper white 50% intensity which is a very neutral, bluish, very light grey (one step up from Sterling)....See MoreBM Gray Owl paint- anyone use it?
Comments (10)I went to the "for the love of a house" site and recognized I had visited before. I noted that they used Titanium in their master bedroom. This is the color I used in my small dark, one windowed kitchen. Artemis used sea haze and I almost went with that for my kitchen. I looked at a lot of grey green blues and they are all pretty. What helped me with the final selection was to paint up patches on the wall and live with the samples for several days, comparing and contrasting. I must have painted 14 or so samples before I settled on Titanium. Each trial helped me refocus my search even when the trial was a reject. I am going to save this thread to "clippings" so that when I am ready to paint my bathroom (next to the kitchen) I can refer to the colors discussed here, and visit "for the love of a house" again to see her selections....See MoreAnyone used BM Bronzed Beige paint color?
Comments (7)Thanks for the feedback. The paint samples are on white posterboard. Actually, the quart they made up this week in real paint matches the color on the strip. It is the sample board with the paint BM sells in those little premade pots that is off. I guess the paint just mixed is not so much a grayed color, maybe what I am seeing is a bronzier tone. Anyway, there definitely is a difference since the sample pot color tends to have more of a yellow/gold tone. When I did an image search on Bronzed Beige, some of the pictures that came up appeared to look more yellow on my computer screen. That is why I wondered what it really looks like for those who have painted with it. Also, my room is not a bright room being on the north side, so I am sure the colors are affected....See Morenlmackay
