Has anyone with a kiln melted glass?
Comments (16)I have fused glass in a cerqamic kiln with really good results. First, make sure your glass has the same coe -90, or bullseye. Fuse the pieces at cone 015 and slump at cone 019 - 021. You will have to do some experimenting. Make sure your shelf is 3/4 of the way up in your kiln. Your molds can be made from clay bisqueware, but make sure they have holes in it & have kilnwash on it. If you fuse glass together, use 2 pieces the same size together & add other pieces to decorate, otherwise the glass edges will be very sharp. Slump bottles at 019, although I have slumped them at 015, put rolled fiber paper under the neck for a handle. Fiber paper can be cut into designs and layed under the glass to create a 3D effect on the bottom of your glass....See MoreAnyone going to watch 'Harry's Law'?
Comments (20)I thought it was OK. I'll keep watching it. But for me, it's not in my "priority" list (the shows that I Tivo that I will not bump off if another show recording is at the same time!) It just wasn't as satisfying as, say, Rizzoli & Isles (pardon the spelling -- probably wrong), Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice......See MoreAnyone Watch Oprah?
Comments (23)Why would you "support" CBS, CNN or any "network"? I thought that TV was for "entertainment", "information" and "education"; all of which is on OWN. I do not believe Oprah started OWN to further "feather her own nest", but to be able to create a place where movies, information and education by, for and about WOMEN will be available. I imagine that her success has been so tempered by the challenges that women have faced during her 25 years of tv, that it is her aim to continue to break through that "glass ceiling" that we hear about. Women need to champion the success of other women, not ignore or think of it as self-promoting. Just My Opinion. Sorry if I have stepped on toes. Nanny (who grew up and worked in the 50's and who is grateful for those women who have blazed a trail to make women valued.)...See MoreDid anyone watch HGTV: Drew's Honeymoon House last night?
Comments (55)i strongly agree with virgil about the real work done on these shoes i have to say, i really hope they change hgtv shows. i know theres a thread somewhere on here all about hgtv but im sick and done with the fake happy couples who happen to mysteriously have ginormous amounts of money to flip and renovate homes into ugly houses for the fools who are on the show its the same s*it all over and over day after day, just different couples doing the same decorating and "designing" when we know all the TRUE work is done by engineers, architects, contractors, plumbers, electricians, handymen, house stagers and interior designers who work with them. you know....the little people...See MoreUser
