Anyone going to watch 'Harry's Law'?

I love Kathy Bates. Hope it does well, usually if I watch something it is done.

Yes I am planning on giving it a go. I feel like that too, Terilyn - there have been many shows that I just loved that I must have been the only one watching because they were cancelled after only a few episodes.
When is Harry's Law starting again?

According to my insurance company, the recipient's insurance pays all costs for the donor. However, the donor's family does not get any additional money. I am not allowed to know my donors name, so I can't pay them anything even I wanted to. There's a bill in New York State to make organ donation more common-instead of signing to be a donor, you would sign a card refusing to be a donor if that's your wish. I was told no religion actually forbids organ donation. But I see an ethical problem. If the state automatically "owns" your body after death, that's a slippery slope. I didn't see Harry's Law. Watched it a few times last year and I liked it but I didn't get really into it. Wish I had seen it.

While the lawyer's argument was good, I'm really getting tired of the "blame the other guy" mentality of today's society. When I was poor, I never ate out--you can fix healthy meals at home for less money. Sure, a cheeseburger for 99 cents is cheap, but how many people get just a cheeseburger--they certainly will get fries and a coke to go with it. That increases the price dramatically (not to mention the health risks). It's no secret that fast food chains make their profits on sodas. Unfortunately, too many people today are too lazy to cook. My son's widow and my stepson's wife do not know how to cook. Their mothers didn't cook. The kids have been raised on fast food. To me, that's akin to child abuse or neglect. It's very sad. Back to Harry's Law...I like the series more each time I watch it. The writers are very good, and Kathy Bates is great.

I watched the CBS shows and I've watched the Dateline and some of the Dr. Phil. I don't know what to think, other than believing an intruder is the least-likely scenario. Not impossible, but very unlikely, due to the way the note was written, the way the body was discovered, and Burke's interviews shortly after the crime and 18 months after the crime. Burke said he heard his mother come into his room and then go out of it looking for JonBenet, and then he heard her in hysterics (as he said in the interview afterward "going psycho") and just stayed in bed pretending to sleep or trying to sleep, rather than go try to find out what had happened. Picture your own kids. You burst into your 9 year old's room and then just as suddenly depart. You are frantically crying and screaming, alerting your spouse and then placing a 911 call. Your 9 year old doesn't freeze with fear. They don't hide. They also don't come ask you what's wrong. They don't go find dad and ask what's wrong. They just stay in bed and wait. The only reason I can think of for him to do this is either that he was used to the sound of adults "going psycho" in other parts of the house and did not find that unusual/alarming--or he knew what the problem was and was waiting to find out how his parents were going to handle it.

I saw the flags hanging across many streets, I guess I was too dense to get why they were there. There were pedestrian barriers along The Mall ( main Street in front of Buckingham Palace) too. I don't recall hearing congestion announcements on the Tube I'm looking forward to watching the FA Cup final on Sunday (I'm a keen fan of the EPL and watch matches every week) but I think this one could be defensive and boring. Our visits to London usually follow the pattern of theater-museum-theater-museum, etc. We saw a handful of great shows this time. Enjoy yourself.

Just the commercial for me cracks me up -- everytime I watch it! There's no suspense after you've seen that commercial once, but it just makes me laugh

I missed it - but I see that it is on the Sleuth channel tonight at 9:30. I think it is also on USA this weekend.

The commercials are funny - "call PETA" - lol!

It sure reminded us, David Kelly has a an underlying often ideological plan he wants us to get in everything he writes. Remember all of the closing arguements to the juries in Boston Legal, Allie McBeale and the Practice? Same thing, different actors.

I watched it... or tried to... ended up tuning out half way through. May give it another try but didn't see anything really special... Disappointed...

I would have to say I'm in the same camp as Carla. It was alright, but nothing that made me make a note on the calendar to be sure to not miss it next week.
I'd likely watch if it was the only thing on but it wasn't overly interesting.
Another ho hum show as far as I am concerned...

Hubs and I both loved it, too. Hubs is an attorney and I used to work as a paralegal (that's how we met, 30 years ago), so we both "get" the legal humor/pathos of the show. And we both love Kathy Bates, too. We've now got the DVR set to record it every week.

We loved it, but are waiting to see if it can keep the momentum going.

We watched a number of shows that started out with great promise, only to see them go down the tubes quickly.

Disappointed. I'm more a fan of punishing crime rather than giving people chance after chance to change their ways. I really wanted to like it, so I'm bummed!

I thought it was OK. I'll keep watching it. But for me, it's not in my "priority" list (the shows that I Tivo that I will not bump off if another show recording is at the same time!)

It just wasn't as satisfying as, say, Rizzoli & Isles (pardon the spelling -- probably wrong), Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice...

I loved it. Just wish it wasn't on at the same time as Castle. I'm thankful for the DVR.
