Wollerton Old Hall
Comments (30)prettypetals, What a beautiful bouquet. I fell in love with this rose at a local nursery so of course she went home with me. I think she smells luscious. The flowers seem to last forever. It's been very cool here this spring so that might be the reason. Some commented that she fades to a dirty cream but mine, so far, are gorgeous. Totoro, great to hear she's shade tolerant since my whole yard gets no more than 5 1/2 hours morning/early afternoon light. If i get half the blooms as you all get I'll be thrilled. sharon...See MoreOld house, wood paneling and window shelves! Any ideas?!

Comments (18)@Angela - The OP's first paragraph stated marble over a concrete slab. " I really think you should remove the old tile." Why? If it's set properly It should last the lifetime of the structure. Bonding to it is not a issue. You'd need to remove the underlayment/top layer of subfloor to even the floor anyway after you rip out tile. If this was wood framed how could you determine that without knowing what underlayment was used and condition after rip out? Plywood, mud bed, CBU's, uncoupler, antifracture membrane etc. The OP is trying to gain height. Most likely you can leave the underlayment in and apply a self leveling underlayment on the top to achieve desired height....See MoreWould shelves look nice in narrow hallway?
Comments (14)Storage should be integrated into the furniture if possible. This narrow hallway is not the place for it. Try a storage hassock or coffee table. Use a closed console with shelves inside for a sofa table. Store DVDs in baskets fitted to a cubby style low cabinet. Little framed items can sit on top of various tables throughout the house. Don't forget to purchase rolling bins to slip under the beds; a great spot for off season clothing....See Moredecoenthusiaste
