The menu for today is: Key lime cheesecake w/ a pecan crust & Green Chili made w/ ground turkey.

No snow here but Lucille, your menu sounds wonderful!! And I wouldn't turn up my nose at the blueberry pie either :-)

Used to love snow ice cream when I was little. Hard to find clean enough snow theses days, with so much pollution.

Cold, snowy weather? CARBOHYDRATES AND FATS! I crave them, and they're terrible for me! But nothing tastes better.

I decided we need a practice run tonight, Wingstop! We always get wings and do appetizers for Christmas Eve.

I usually make chili, stew, soup or a pot roast when it snows. No snow or rain in sight here in N. Cal so we've still been grilling outside.

Non-stop cookie baking-and-icing from now 'til we hop on the plane home later this month! There were only light flurries when I went to bed last night, but it was too warm for anything to stick. I gleefully woke up this morning to a winter wonderland layer of white covering the neighborhood.

I am making a big pot of my shrimp chowder! It will be just perfect for this weather. I wish I had some crusty French bread to go with it but I am not getting out to go get it. We will make do with crackers.

I have a crockpot full of Ina Garten's Winter Minestrone going now, without the pancetta. I think I have some multigrain bread to toast with it. We have rain and a little sleet, nothing to write home about.

No snow here, but cold. We are having braised venison shoulder in a red wine reduction. Mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and biscuits.

I'm coming to your house for dinner, Nicole. It sounds delicious! Being in Canada, we definitely have snow and cold, but our meals today have been from social gatherings and takeout, so no cooking.

It’s in the 20’s outside with single digit wind chills and our first major snow is due tomorrow morning. Only a couple of inches are expected, but that’s enough to make it pretty outside. I want to make a slow cooked roast with browned potatoes and carrots, but will have make a store run first. Drats!!!

ETA: All these menu’s are the perfect cozy food and sound really yummy.

DH made a pound cake and pulled out the last of the strawberries! Trying to empty the freezer before we head to Florida.

Had snow and icy rain in NC today. I finished making my ginger bourbon balls to give away and made lettuce soup to eat (it was surprisingly good). My doggie was thankful for the umbrella I held over him when he did his things, and loved the towel rub when we got in. He got an extra bully stick and I am going to have a bourbon ball for desert.

I'll be making vegetarian chili today...one of my favorites as it includes chocolate! Yum.

Yum! Shrimp chowder with a few black pepper water crackers. It was perfect for the weather conditions.
