Comments (2)If the leaves are totally brown it doesn't matter. Once the foliage is brown it can no longer manufacture food for the corms. If the leaves still have green put them in the sun. Glads are sun lovers. Windows can generate a lot of heat that can shorten the life of blooms on plants. If glads are winter hardy in your zone you can plant them now or in fall. Comments (9)This is a good plant. Do not make holes in the pot, for oncidiums it doesn't matter. Do not re-pot it now! Watch for small growth, it may pop-up after bloom, wait till this growth will be tall and watch out for new roots! Only when new roots will emerge you can re-pot this orchid. When you will do it, try to remove all old bark and sphagnum. But do not disturb it now, when there is no new growth....See MoreGifted old plant. Help please
Comments (21)Ok I’ll wait to repot. What size should the new pot be? Current one is 9” across and 6.5” high. I think the smallest plastic grow pot I might be appropriate is 3 gallon that is 10” across and 9.5” high. I can find something smaller if need be. I was planning to add some cuttings in with the cut back plant. I watched a video last night of a girl saying the roots were very shallow and you need a really small pot despite the height of one of these plants. Is that not right? Came across this photo last night saying it was a Lana begonia. That the only info I could find for a photo that had the same leaves. I really like having plants and like taking care of them. I want a greenhouse! I would definitely make more small plants but don’t most of the time because I don’t have the space to keep them. I ‘could’ but it would feel like visual clutter and bother me. While I appreciate plants I couldn’t live in on of those jungle houses all over the net. I must refrain. This is why the greenhouse sounds appealing too since I could swap out plants. I‘m currently trying to justify buying a monstera. Found the plastic pot on left too. It might be a little smaller than the 3 gallon. Comparison...See MoreOlychick
