Living room HELP!
Comments (5)Here is a diagram which will give you a idea of a floating room. Essentially it means you move the furniture into the room and away from the walls. In this version the sofa was placed running the same was as the length of the room. If I had your room I would face two sofas away from the longest wall and facing each other so that they come off the wall into the room like two items across this box I'm typing in. Put them not the length but the width. The width is the vertical part of this box. Then add a large coffee table with lamps. In one corner I'd add a nice reading chair with a standing lamp and at the other end maybe a desk or game table. Google floating living room and then go to images which is on the google page and youll see dozens of rooms for inspiration. Good luck. Comments (27)Beverly, I like the look you created. However, I just got the wall painted. It is a high ceiling so I cannot repaint myself. It is sand color (Wise Owl by Kelly Moore). I am hoping for the grey sofa, sand walls and brown floors to be the neutral colors that will not stand out. Only the blush/pink accents to pop. I did the opposite in the other room with brown floor, grey walls and brown sofa. and teal color for pop. Will light grey sofa achieve this goal better than dark grey?...See MoreHelp with French Living room layout with off center fireplace
Comments (14)You have enough room for two three seat sofas and a couple of smaller scale arm chairs. Take a look at the below diagram to see if it's something that would appeal to you. It's got two eight foot sofas and a large area rug that defines the entire seating area. One sofa is served by cubed coffee tables, the other by a larger table with an ottoman underneath for casual extra seating. See below example. If the arrangement will work for you, get some blue painters tape and map out the furniture on the floor to make sure the sizing will fit....See MoreFurnish my living Room .
Comments (11)The far end of the room by the fireplace is a French door that leads out to the patio outside. There is a garden outside. I can create some furniture ideas of furniture. I have tried putting the couch facing the fireplace but it is too big and blocks the walkway between rooms. there is an entry way that enters into this living room. I can take more photos if needed? I also paint in this room. It is for seating about 4. I was thinking of maybe a sleek off white or blue couch with maybe one accent chair and one or two ottomans. Maybe I could place them where the dark chair is. That way it wouldn't block the entry way view and not too big? I am thinking of getting rid of the loveseat and putting a rug under the edge of the couch and having no coffee table or some small thing to place items on. Right now it is crowded looking to me with the love seat. There is also a brown Haberdasher or the top part the item by the couch is being used to display items like a curio would and the bottom is for dishes or storage. I have another curio in the dining room. thanks....See MoreEsmaili Rugs and Antiques, Inc.
