This Color Palette for a Living Room?
Comments (14)Melinaa -- Thanks for your ideas. Unfortunately Hubby does not like crisp blue and white rooms, so the Leattiser fabric you show isn't his taste. Its too cool, fresh and airy for him. We're in Canada where it can be cold ten months of the year, this year for sure. I hope it helps that our living room has lots of natural light in the late day when we most use the room and that the curtains are unbleached muslin so quite light, "ivory" as you suggested for paint. Vampiressm -- I appreciate your encouragement. I'm trying to make do with what we have until we can afford to re-do the whole room (and house!) exactly the way we both want it. I'd appreciate some feedback on whether or not these things "go" together. Thanks in advance! Fabric found at a fabulous price for cushions (I haven't bought it yet) Does this fabric clash? Its uber-inexpensive so I could get it, too One of two coordinating prints we own Mock up of my fireplace mantel, the tiles are pale pink now One of two fairy statues and separate sconces Small chest of drawers - phone stand Hanging slag glass lamp that's not in use, yet One of two lamps...See MoreMost premium color palette for Living Room?
Comments (1)"Modern/upscale" and "easy to resell" don't necessarily mean the same things. If you're renovating with resale in mind look at local listings and see whats popular in your area. But if you're not selling for 5-10 years don't worry about it, trends will change. I'd probably go more classic on the floors, a medium natural stain wood, as for wall color some neutral would be best....See MoreWhat to do with this living room? Stuck with some furniture and layout

Comments (8)@havarockey, If you like it and it makes you happy then go for it. Our input here is to help you find your happy place and Congratulations! So exciting for you and your new home! Patricia is right in that you are looking for a backdrop to what you want to add later which is why I chose biscuit and based on this inspo that I thought fit into what you were looking for and if its not that is OK too. If you like the stone then keep the stone idea! You may want to narrow down some wood and stones that you like so you can pull from there for your paint color. @Patricia, please be kind to all and know you are loved and can make good input without tearing everyone else down, including those asking. I do hope you have a blessed day....See Moremarylut
