Comments (10)I have a small cuphea species collection going because of their long bloom season and they act more as woody perennials in out relatively frost-free area. C. schumannii (pictured) is one of the less common species. It does not look quite as strange from the flower's side shot. Comments (14)PKponder, yes, of course you can use it. And as an aside, DH pronounced it a great puzzle to do. Not nearly as easy as it looks. Comments (14)I use a canon power shot with really good zooming capability. Only thing I don't like about it is on interior shots, color rendition isn't good...but exterior shots it's great. Also, I use the capabilities on the mac where the photos are stored to adjust them before posting. Some are dark, some are crooked, some need more or less color. It really pays to use those capabilities to get the image to look like what you want to show....See More

8 years agoOK, this opossum thought it would overnight in our back yard, but Oski definitely was having none of that and had it cornered. I hosed it to try to get it to leave, but it seems unwilling to do that and is perched on a wall for now. I took the pic through the screen. Interesting feet. Maybe it'll leave when it gets dark. It seems sluggish, numb. Probably way past its bedtime. Poor Oski is having a meltdown.
