Your photos tell me that table won't fit in your space. If the floor tiles in that store are 18" and If my math is right a rug 11' long might work. You should tape it out on the floor with painter's tape. The rug shouldn't run into your island, and the chairs shouldn't fall off the edges of it when people pull them out and sit down. Stand at the stove and shoot across the room. We aren't getting the full picture, and I don't believe we're seeing the actual floor where you plan to place the table.

Posting this cause of paint you showed... why so dark? well, I'd want something light/almost airy....

neutral hues like light ivory, warm taupe, silvery sage, desert clay and deep charcoal... maybe a light blue-green from this rug for walls?

Rug size should be width of table plus 3 feet all the way around the dining set so you have room to pull chairs in and out without chairs moving off of the rug........sometimes you just need to have a broadloom cut and bound to have the rug be large enough........what is your floor space area where the dining set is going. It is lovely!

If the dining room is visible from the living room then you need to choose a rug that would be in tune with the living room rug. Can you show the living room?

I have been looking for runner rug in my kitchen- and spending way too much time at it. I keep being drawn to rugs like 3 and 5. I think they would be lovely and have pattern and interest and are interesting.
