Dis-organization disorder - a bit silly
Comments (1)That's fantastic!!!! Have you been watching me? You are me!!!! What's bad, is that I'm here typing about how disorganized I am when I should be organizing things! But as I was taking my glass out to the kitchen I saw my sunglasses by them so I decided to go get them for the Bucs game tomorrow. While I was here I decided to check into the Swimming Pool forum that I frequent. As I surfed I then decided to check on a post that I made awhile back in this forum. In front of me sits the empty glass and the sunglasses. I'm going to get up now and return them to the proper place...I hope!!!...See MoreHardware layout advice -- incl. Comments (12)Thanks to all for the advice so far. For anyone else trying to make the "mixing cups and pulls" decision, I found a great OLD post that included pictures of another kitchen where both were successfully mixed. Unfortunately, I can't post a link because it is archived, but it can be seen in the public clippings of user "abananie" (about 3/4 way down the page.) The kitchen pictured belongs to "jsweenc". So -- as of now, I am thinking of keeping cups on desk drawer and sink drawer, with pulls on all other drawers and knobs on doors. One thing that still bothers me is that most of the "mixed" photos I have seen tend to mix cup pulls with very simple, modern pulls. My pulls are more traditional/transitional (see link above) -- will this be a problem? I am visiting the KD to make the selections TODAY, so any advice/opinions are welcome!!...See MoreNew Office: Need Help with Decor and Organization
Comments (1)By the way, it's quite chilly in there year round...we all have space heaters! I'm thinking a French cottage feel with a lot of natural textures, green and botanicals would warm things up and go with the furniture which echoes wrought iron and distressed wood....See MoreDesk in Living Room Layout
Comments (2)Under the window, it appears it will be in the traffic area. You could turn your desk ninety degrees from where it is so it faces the same direction as the couch and is in line with the coffee table (and the chair between the desk and the 18' wall). You are not against but are still looking out the window. If you can center it between the wall and your sofa / seating area and comfortably walk all the way around your desk, all the better. If not, put it closer to one side or the other ... whichever works best. Then measure your space behind the desk and see how much, if any, you may have for adding a bookcase against the wall behind the desk and/or a corner cabinet or shelving unit....See MoreSara_Jayne
