I wish every seller eBay or website could read this whole posting. I plan in my future to sell plumeria and I'm reading and understanding what is being said here! Good Lessons, respect, ethics and care. Either your in it because you are passionate about what you do or it becomes "Old Hat"...."It's a Job" mentality. If I grow a cutting and intend to sell it as a rooted cutting, it must spend more than 10 months in a pot and hopefully a year to establish good root growth. Sounds like they might be forcing them to root fast to sell? Also it could be possible that a mix in cuttings before the sale was offered on eBay ( Still no excuse! ) Reputation and Customer Relations is so very important especially when it comes to selling something so unique as plumeria and tropical flowering plants! As a Seller (of plumeria) you must remember: #1 Your Plumeria are always remembered where they came from long after the purchase! *Especially if it came from Hawaii for Pete Sake!!! #2 Build a reputation that increases sales to a level you can maintain. ( Ship exactly what you are selling ) #3 Take Pride build a relationship become a mentor of your passion. ( Look for ways to help your buyer become more knowledgeable about their purchase ) #4 Photograph current flowers from the plant the cutting came from ( I'm so appreciative seeing a photo of the cutting before it is shipped!!!) #5 Respond to all calls / emails! ( Listen to your Customers ) From everyone's responses to this post, it sounds like the seller has been at it for years and has lost some of their passion for what made them into who and what they are today. This is a very long old thread resurrected instead of being referenced in a new post. I didn't read all of it but the original poster was comparing a noon photo of molded brick & raked joint to a manufacturer's photo of the same brick professionally lighted & tuck-pointed joint (flush joint with a small bead tooled in the middle of it). The difference in appearance was entirely predictable and the mason should have informed the owner of that fact. Neither joint is the best for weathering. The best and most common joint is a steel tooled concave joint for better weathering and less variation in shadow lines.

The following has worked for me in the past when I've had problems with a bank. Years ago I had an credit card/account with Colonial bank. Introductory rate was 8% interest for the life of the loan. Colonial was bought out by Advanta and promptly raised my interest rate to 26%. I contacted the Office of the Comptroller. They asked if I had written proof. I did. A short time later a class action lawsuit was filed against Advanta for this practice. I got a check from the settlement. This is why it always pays to get everything in writing. BOA KNOWS this, which is why they want to 'talk over the phone'. So YOU don't have proof. Start taking in-depth notes of each time you call. Get the name and title of who you speak to, as well as what is discussed and what they promised to do about it (and WHEN). Anything you send should be mailed certified mail. THAT will wake them up. I also would contact someone on the board at BOA's investor relations site. Don't go to the very top, go a rung or two below and/or send it to about 5 different people with a CC of who ELSE got your letter. Tell them you will be contacting the Office of the Comptroller if they can't iron out this little problem. If that fails, contact a consumer reporter at your newspaper. Of course it's wrong to cut out part of a magazine and then sell the cover, whether it's for a dollar, a quarter, or a penny. It's not less of a lie because of buyer beware (blame the victim--make them feel careless) or because it was bargain (blame the victim--make them feel greedy.) Somebody somewhere cut out 16 pages and then put the magazine up for sale like it was whole. It's more comfortable to make up excuses how it could possibly be a mistake or an oversight, but I doubt it. Anybody who cut out half of something in January is going to remember that in March. It's a nasty little trick to pull on a people having a nice day, but don't let one mosquito spoil the whole picnic. *off soapbox*
