Mid Century Modern Kitchen in Texas
Comments (8)WOW, I just saw this -- haven't come over here much since I did my Ikea Hallarum Kitchen back in '04...but I'm SO glad I did. CONGRATULATIONS on all your remodels. Did you design them yourself or with help? One question re the glass tile transition strips: Did the tiles come pre-'softened', as it were? If not, if there are any sharp edges, you might want to rub a tile stone over them just to be sure none of your little guy's friends get hurt if they're running around in bare feet. I do mosaics and I know that everyone who does glass floors makes DEAD sure that every single piece is completely sanded down to innocuousness. Again, congratulations -- I think I'll save your pics as inspiration. GREAT work....See MoreGlass fabricators in NYC area?
Comments (0)HI, I am looking to have a few different countertops made for the kitchen bar area and would like a glass top like this: white glass countertop with integral sink However, b/c the space is not square nor a standard size, I need to get it made custom. I would also need another piece of white glass to match for a countertop a few feet away. Anyone have someone they like? I searched for glass fabricators online but only turned up a few and they had gotten mixed reviews. TIA....See MoreCountertops - Avonite, Glass, Recycled glass?
Comments (6)Gene McDonald at Refresh Interiors does a lot of that series of Avonite and may have a remnant that would do a vanity. If he's got some you like, shoot me some dimensions and I'll give you a number. If you like it, I'll ship it to you and you can have it installed. By the way, a fabricator pays about $50.00 per square foot for that stuff sitting on a pallet untouched and a sheet is 30SF....See MoreSecolo 12mm porcelain slab by Walker Zanger for kitchen countertops
Comments (17)@appatel14 You'll get excellent service in any material including porcelain from a little shop near the design district in Dallas, Texas, called Escobar Marble & Granite at 2339 Farrington Street, Dallas, TX 75207, Phone: (214) 905-5045. However, after more research since my previous comments were posted, I strongly recommend against porcelain. It has too many issues during fabrication, installation, and usage to be reliable for a kitchen that receives moderate to heavy traffic. Please consider quartz or granite instead. If you use quartz, many people have had the best performance from brands like Cambria that use the Breton technology in manufacturing....See Moreekscrunchy
