2 story home with beige hardiplank siding, white wood trim and accents, stone has some red in it (photo included). Our next door neighbors are chocolate brown and a medium sea/sky blue. We are away from the ocean but live in a beach town on Vancouver island. Lots of direct sun in the summer (front/rear house exposed) and fairly rainy winters. I like the idea of a change perhaps Navy, my wife would prefer keeping the current colours. There is also concern over fading with the darker pigments. Thanks in advance

I think to go modern with wooden/cedar combo is better choice. Here is visual with navy blue

Will definitely be doing interior work and paint as well. As of now, definitely planning on neutral and earthy colors with the potential of adding some of those muted/powdered jewel tone colors as accents throughout, etc. There is a dark wood vinyl throughout entire home & a river rock fireplace (more neutral colors) with dark granite shelf that I will be working with. Thank you for the advice regarding the brick, that makes sense. Also appreciate the suggestion on getting interior planned out first--was thinking if that should be a factor in my exterior planning!
