Need help with adding curb appeal to our new investment property
Comments (23)I would get it power washed to start and make any repairs necessary to the steps and aluminum siding. I think you can get away with keeping the brick as is if you put a pretty flowering bush between the two units, something that blocks the massive front wall. Ideally it will keep its leaves all year, or offer something pretty like white berries during the winter. Also, replace the front door of the right unit, and plant something in front of the mismatched brick. Definitely upgrade lighting and put in a stamped concrete walkway - will be less then pavers....See MoreNeed help adding curb appeal
Comments (8)Here's an example of those garage door decals I was talking about. I honestly don't know if they would look too cheesy, maybe they make something a little more substantive, and maybe you can pop out the top panels and install real windows. Anyway, just a thought.https://www.amazon.com/Magnetic-Panels-Garage-Decoration-Windows/dp/B07C813WKK/ref=asc_df_B07C813WKK/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=242033512944&hvpos=1o4&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15191994601553296919&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9017389&hvtargid=pla-527765302317&psc=1 Edited to add that it seems like some garage door installation companies offer that service, installing windows. You might be able to DIY but not sure how tricky it might be....See MoreRanch House or MCM? Facade needs help to improve curb appeal
Comments (22)thanks! kendallinsd I think those window changes to the bedrooms would make a big difference to the curb appeal. by the way, I am not against painting brick. if done right, it will be fine. however, yours is a nice muted reddish tone. I think what's not working is that there's too much contrast between the brick and siding, breaking up the shapes. the mockups houssaon and I did for you look better because it gives your house a more cohesive look. I also encourage keeping (or restoring) that pergola. again, it's part of the midcentury shape of that house that makes it special. but like I suggested before, a wood pillar might look better there. have fun. post pics as you improve this adorable home!...See MoreCurb appeal upgrade for my accessible condo - help!
Comments (9)It’s a very nice ramp. I absolutely do not understand the issue. Maybe you do not need an accessible ramp - but that is as nice looking as any ramp could possibly be, as is. And I am sure it can come in handy for shopping, deliveries , etc. So convenient, and so much easier than climbing a bunch of stairs and lugging stuff up a bunch of stairs. I personally would not look to decorate the ramp; imo, it does not need decoration. If anything, i would get a front door in wood - to complement the ramp. And maybe put a couple of flowering planters/pots in the yard down below. And i would be really thankful for that beautiful structure....See MoreTravelBliss
