Choosing a Garage Door and Opener
Comments (5)Anaheim Door is an old and trusted company. In fact our door and opener came from Anaheim Door. Although the opener is branded Anaheim Door, it is actually made by Liftmaster. You will not need the insulated door in Van Nuys. I live in Fullerton and bought the cheapest door they sell. Our door faces away from the street so I didn't even spend the extra money for the decorative windows. If you have bedrooms above the garage I would strongly recommend the belt drive which is also made by Liftmaster. Hope this helps. Don...See MorePlease help! What color garage doors should we choose?
Comments (8)To me, unless you want to do a total color change on the entire house, then the garage doors should just stay as they are. For you to "fix" that house, you're going to have to commit to a total package color change and by that I mean the red brick and the whole nine yards. Best, Meghan...See MoreHelp me choose a CHI garage door, West facing house with bedroom above

I hate them but all of the houses in the development circa 1993 have them. I haven't thought of painting them the same color as the siding so maybe I will try that. We did get new low-e windows in the bedroom above the garage and that does help. I didn't know if a higher R-value garage door would help further. My mom says the wood look with the windows would look best and it looks like both of you are agreeing. I like it too...eventhough its the most expensive :)...See MoreLulu
