Do you think i'm really weird?
Comments (9)Oh Debbie: I am so very, very sorry to hear of your loss, your darling Buddy. Angel, in my world, my dogs are a part of my family, no one can tell me differently. They are completely devoted to us and give us unconditional love, a lot more than some family members are able to give. In the past 25 years, we have had to put down 3 amazing Golden Retrievers, all to cancer. Not only did my husband and I cry our eyes out, but we both had to take a day off of work each time. For those who don't understand, well, in my opinion, it's their loss. There's just nothing like a 75 pound ball of fur plopping himself in your lap, gazing up into your eyes with his beautiful, soulful eyes and laying a big old sloppy kiss on your face...I'll take that any day over some of my family members... Debbie, there's nothing wrong with you, let the tears flow, you are grieving for Buddy because you loved him and he gave you so much love...that's not weird at all; and don't let anyone tell you different. Buddy is now at Rainbow Bridge and will remain there until it is your time to be in heaven, then he will cross that bridge and forever be with you again... http://rainbowsbridge.com/Poem.htm...See MoreDo you have a rice cooker. I'm thinking of
Comments (29)I have several and all of my family members have them too, being Cajun we eat a LOT of rice so having the rice cooker comes in very handy, and frees up one more burner and pot for all those big meals. Can I cook perfect rice with out it, I sure can so can all my family, it is one of the first things we learn LOL but do I love my rice cookers I sure do and use them almost daily. They do so many things besides cook rice, if you do a search for rice cooker cookbooks you will be amazed and they are good recipes. Most of the ones I now own are Aroma brand I also have a couple of the microwave type and like those too, they are especially handy for steaming veggies. but they work equally well at cooking rice. I appreciate technology and consider the rice cooker a nice step....See MoreAre You Thinking What I'm Thinking? Look at this..
Comments (24)Glad to know I am not alone!!! When I opened my Elle Decor magazine, that was the page that I opened to, and I just looked at it and thought "wow". I did send the photo to my old friends in the Andrology lab where I used to work with a nice little note that I was thinking of them. And perhaps they would want to get it for the Chief for Boss's Day. lol...See MoreI'm trying out a new recliner in the room - what do you think?
Comments (12)Would you like to try a couple of different arrangements? One is to put the big chair back where it was, then place the two recliners together at the end of the room. Put the end tables on either side of the sofa like you had them. Then find a table to put between the two recliners. You can try them angled toward each other a bit or just have them lined up straight at a 90 with the sofa. Between the fireplace next to the recliner, I would probably have a big basket with magazines, or throws and pillows. A tall plant in the corner by the window would be great. Second, take the big chair out of the equation and place the recliners across from the sofa on either side of the fireplace. I would put them on a 45ish degree facing inward. Each should have a small table to use for drinks/lamp/whatever you'd like to put there. This will leave the end wall completely open, but I think it will be easier to imagine different pieces of furniture/art there. Definitely get your furniture placed in a way that makes you think "ahhhh, this is perfect". THEN we can worry about the art and accessories. I was surprised to see two recliners. Didn't you only have one before?...See More
