Everyone has such sweet dogs! We have a few that have passed on as well. We miss them every day.

Here is Beavis the husky at 19 years. This was taken just 4 months prior to his passing after two days of terrible seizures. He was suspected of having a brain tumor.

A better shot of Casper on the same trip to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. This rock was the perfect size for him to walk through.

PKponder, the first photo I posted is of our sweet girl who also was suspected of having a brain tumor. She was fine one minute and having a seizure the next. Her balance on the right side was affected and she couldn't stand up without falling over nor could she walk a straight line. It was like she was drunk. Smart girl that she was, she figured out that if she leaned her right side against a wall, she could walk without falling down. It was actually kind of funny to watch her do that.

The vet put her on steroids and she improved a lot, but within a week the symptoms came back with a vengeance and we had to let her go.

Your Beavis looks like a sweet dog; I've always had a soft spot for huskies.

Our two sweet shelter mutts. Mia (left) is a 10-month-old terrier mix of some sort. We believe Otis (right) is an English pointer/pit mix. He's between 4 and 5 years old.

Mia was adopted from a small local rescue and Otis from our city shelter.

This is my Dilly, a Lhasa Maltese mix just days beofre he passed in 2014 at 9 years old.

This is Misty. She is 9 years old, I adopted her last October, this is her 3rd and last home. She doesn't like to look at the camera when I try to take her picture so I try take it from the side usually

A special thanks to all who have rescued/adopted. You've actually saved two...the one you took and the now open space in the shelter for another.

Everyone's pooches look adorable!! And I am sure they all hold a very secial place in your lives, even those that have passed on. My Chew-man is only the latest in a long line of dogs (and cats and bunnies) I have owned as an adult. But all the others were before the convenience of cell phone cameras and downloading to computers, so only have some snapshots of my previous pups and nothing to share.

I don't post at all anymore, but I love all these beautiful Fur Babies. This is Bailey and her "stump".

I have had a lot of dogs over the years. I've loved them all, but Sundance was the love of my life. He's been gone for years, and I still miss him.

Michele, I know what you mean with the special one. I had one of them. His name was Goethe, a poodle/ dingo mix we adopted when I was 36 weeks pregnant with our first daughter. Potty training and wiping up the puddles was a challenge, but he was such a great dog. He just loved everything and everybody.

I was thinking how much my Lil would love to play with all of your pets. Shes never been around other pets except one time a friend dropped by with her baby Chihuahua very tiny like 2 pounds. Oh my, my Lil kept cleaning her and trying to almost hug her never left this pups side while they were here. When they left Lil sat at the door a very long time crying. Is this normal behavior in female dogs? She was Spayed but maybe she yearns for a companion of her own kind? You are the pet experts so I figured I'd ask. Thanks

Yes, mama, most dogs love the company of other dogs. I think you should get your dog to a dog park if possible or get Lil a buddy.

Heres my Kallie, a rescue from a kill shelter in North Carolina. She was about 3 months old when rescued. She’s turning 6 in January.

And here's my boy Spencer who we lost a year and a half ago. Still miss him every. Single. Day.

And this page wouldn’t be big enough to hold all those pups we’ve had in our lives during our almost 50 years of marriage. Each one has a special place in our hearts.
