Kitchen Island Waterfall Mishap

Hello everyone. We had chosen a Quartzite and decided that we wanted a waterfall finish for the kitchen island. The fabricator was on board and said it could be done. Turns out, the material was not cooperating and he said he could not make it work. The result is not what we desired, but it doesn't exactly look bad either. I know the waterfall look is very trendy, but what we haven't isn't exactly a waterfall at all.

Does it look bad?

Some options we have thought of at the moment are to: either push out the side slabs so that they are flush with the top slab, however they will not be flush with the ends as the bottom slabs are not the same length as the top; remove the side slabs altogether and put in traditional side panels, or; leave as is if the consensus is that it looks fine.
