not the greatest picture by far... but the FREE cannas I planted yesterday!

They are leaning more today, and I am going to give them their cut a bit early, and put the leaves on the plants as mulch. In this area they could freeze out, if not mulched, if the winter gets COLD.

Moni if you go to the fair grounds they have several huge flower bed areas filled with Miss Oklahoma pink cannas. Pick up the spent seeds in the bed and let them dry. Plant them next year and you will have some really beautiful cannas. My friend and I did that one year. We were at the fair sitting next to the cannas and decided to try it out. It was very successful. They are such a pretty color.

Raven, I didn't know that. I have never tried it... but I got all these for free, they are yellow. I am going to keep my eyes open for more freebies. :)
