Enjoy the movie!

I'm leaving early to take my mom to her followup appointment for her knee replacement surgery. She's come leaps and bounds (get it? ha! I kill myself) from where she was September 25th, so I am sure it will be good reports. Son is on fall break and I got him to submit one whole application for universities. Five more to go before I'll back off and let him relax. Then it'll be time to push for those scholarship applications. He'll get into it, but for now, it's kicking and screaming. The rest of his friends are 3/4 or fully through the process. Sigh. Can't wait to finish up painting the porches this weekend. Picked the paint for the laundry room and dining room. Once the cold weather comes (shortly!) I'm ready to go. Still gotta pick the bedrooms and office colors. Can't wait until it's time to go home and pet the cats, but that's later on.

Beautiful day here in up north Michigan! DH is mowing the lawn (he said the last mowing would be his last, nice weather is making the grass grow) and I'm doing laundry. Had my pinochle card club here yesterday and tonight we are going out to dinner with friends.

I have towels on the line. It's nice and windy, but cold. I don't own a dryer by choice, and windy weather is BEST for drying towels. Should be outside working in the yard... but am procrastinating here on the puter.

Moni

I'm picking the boys up an hour early at school. I have to take my 10 yo to the eye doctor to have his glasses fixed. The lens looks like its about to pop out on one side. They are only two months old if that. I knew I should have stayed with plastic frames instead of stainless steel. I ask about putting new lens in his older frames this way he'd have a back up pair but at 166.00 that's not happening soon. Next eye exam I'm taking his script where I can get one of those BOGO deals.

Than I'm stopping off at the grocery store and picking up a whole chicken roaster for dinner tomorrow. Its a busy week around my house and nothing much easier for dinner than roasting a chicken.

Kath enjoy the movie.

Moni I used to love hanging sheets on the line, but with all the allergy suffers in this house I can no longer do that.

I do have a load of flour sack kitchen towels washing, sanitize cycle and Euro Persil..LOL

Wow sitting at the eye doctors and they have free WiFi. Lol

Did some laundry in the morning, mowed lawn this afternoon.

It is a cold, rainy, windy, gloomy day here and I have not accomplished much...got out the jeans and sweatshirt...did bake some cookies to heat the house up a bit...it is 73 in here, but I am considering turning the furnace on....or taking a nap :-)

Enjoyed potluck with monthly luncheon group. We had 34 attending and the fellowship and food was wonderful.

I coordinate the luncheons monthly. Been doing this for 8 years at least.

Huge house, and everyone was scattered when this pic was taken.

White dessert on front counter was that 3 day refrigerator coconut cake. Rave of the luncheon.

That looks like a wonderful gathering, glenda. How wonderful for you to organize for everyone.

Drizzly day here today. Perhaps that's why the hands and legs hurt. :-))) Haven't done much today. A little puttering here and there. Need to get the house picked up and ready to be cleaned tomorrow.

Rainy and cold in KC, so it was a good day to substitute in HS english. Learned a new phrase today, "mud cricket". The filtered definition is "A female who wears short shorts, cowgirl boots, and will do anyone with a lifted vehicle." Oh my, the things I learn by eavesdropping.......

The movie was really good. Now I want to see the first one over again. I don't even remember it, at all.

OMG ladypat!! Hilarious, sort of ....

I work construction and haven't heard "that" one. lol

Ran errands. Grocery store, bank, Walmart, gas station. Sent more pictures of the rental to the property manager...she's listing it now, but not available until Dec 1. Showing it to 2 people tomorrow, more wanting photos of the back yard.

Cat is pooping in the weight room....long story. Purchased a new carpet shampooer, cleaned it, he walks in, carpet is still wet & poops. :0( He likes the smell of Natures Miracle Pet Block, hates the smell of cinnamon oil. Local health food store ran out of oil, had to drive 30min to Whole Foods. By then I was hungry. A fresh pretzel was 2.50!

Rented The Mummy w/ Tom Cruise. update: not so good...

I've been home awhile now, but I was checking over homework, LOL...Tim says Grandmaaaaa you know I always do my homework and I said Timmyyyyy and you know its my responsability to look at your beautiful hand writing. Haha.

Rita dear I'm kinda taking it easy haha. To tell the truth I really am trying I don't have much energy it seems to drain quickly. I have to rest so often that today it took me all day to do...not much. I'm taking it easy tomorrow other than throwing a chicken in the oven which is an easy thing to cook. EXCEPT Tim called me from school this am the PTO is having a bake sale Thursday and can they count on some of Pinkys pies??? Well sure they can except its going to be Mr. Pinky's pumpkin pies. Lol. Mike will bake 6 pies. On Wednesday evening. His are scrumptious. Tims going to print out the ingredients list out at school for me tomorrow. The local bakery in town sold Mike 6 white cardboard pie boxes for two dollars but when Mike in conversation told them this afternoon they were for the school the bakery donated them to us. Lovely folks.

Thank you Rita for your friendly reminder.

It was 77 degrees today, here in my NYC suburb. I did a new gentle yoga class today. I bought a 10 pack card and hope to try the Tai Chi as well. I gave my dog two long walks. Yesterday it rained all day so I had to make it up to him.

DH and I have been lamenting about the lack of good movies. So, thanks for the recommendation.
