Comments (17)Thank you soooo much to you all who replied! So grateful for all your opinions :) unfortunately the shop can't give me swatches to bring home to mull over my decision, and I hate how furniture shops all use mood lighting which makes it incredibly hard to see the furniture for what it is in natural light! Thanks heaps!...See MoreChesterfield sofa - opinions on style and fabric?
Comments (11)Bbstx, I have only had our sofa for about two months but haven't noticed the indents getting dusty even though I am sure my cleaning lady misses getting into them. I took a cloth to it and didn't see dust on it but ours is leather and wouldn't hold onto dust as quickly as fabric. I have a block front chest on the one end and a gaming table temporarily on the other end. Both pieces are a good bit higher than a normal end table but are still maybe six inches below the top of the arm. I would definitely use higher pieces as the scale with a regular height probably would look off . I linked a pic of our sofa at the furniture store. It isn't a true chesterfield but has the same arms and tufted back. It is way more masculine than what I was going for (hence my longing for sapphire velvet) but now I love it! I just measured and the block front chest and gaming table are both 29 inches high and the sofa arms measure 35 inches but as you can see from the picture the sofa is large. Here is a link that might be useful: Our sofa...See MoreSink color/style with white cabs/light counters - opinions please
Comments (9)Marg CS is really easy to clean so that part is great. Two things I don't like as much 1) there is a translucent inclusion on the front edge of the sink (and elsewhere) that looks like a chip. Freaked me out several times until I stopped noticing. 2) I don't like having to use trivets for hot plates b/c I never had to think about it before with any other counter I've had. If you don't already know hot and CS don't mix-- that's what CS says anyway and I certainly haven't tried to invalidate their advice in my kitchen. Yes we had to coordinate the sink, counters and backsplash and the grout and paint color for that matter. Floor stain came later but wood floors and SS are kinda like a pair of jeans-- seem to work well with lots of other elements. As was suggested, you should order samples from Blanco website. We tried lots of combinations of sink/tile/counters in many different lighting conditions to get the right match....See MoreHow to style this sofa?Help me please
