Help!! What do you think of this room? Is my sofa too big?

I just got this gray sectional sofa yesterday and I'm not sure if it's too big! Is the sofa an okay size for the room??? The door on the right is the front door and there's another sitting room across to the right. Could I add a skinny white sofa table on both sides of the sofa? We are also not done painting yet and still need to paint the gray color up to the high ceilings! I will be taking out the window blinds and putting in white sheer curtains that drape from the high ceilings too. Thank you so so much for your help!

Can;t see that watching T.V will be very comfortable for anyone in the space so I would say the sectional is too big.

I can imagine some scenarios in which someone would want to create what is essentially a bedsitter. An adult living with parents or other relatives or renting a room in a private home might like a place to retreat in privacy even though it isn't bed time. If you are dating someone but not intimate or if you have a couple of platonic friends over you might want a place to sit and hang out that doesn't involve lounging on the bed. Or if you need some time to yourself and have an aversion to sitting on a bed while fully clothed in the middle of the day. Beds aren't actually that comfortable for anything other than sleep and romance.

Living room too big for one seating area but too small for two. Help!

My living room is 17 1/2 x 15 1/2 I don't find it too large for a single seating area. I guess it depends on how you lay out the furniture. Where your TV is we have a fireplace with book shelves. The TV is in the book shelves with 2 chairs flanking the fireplace. I have my couch where you have your love seat and my love seat where you have you couch. Maybe switch your love seat and couch. This would push back the room and fill up the empty space.

Window treatments can be such a pain to get right. Struggling to block the sun in my den as well so I feel your pain. :) Your curtains are beautiful. I'd have to see the whole room to form an opinion on the whole look but I can share my preference for length. I like them when they barely kiss the floor and that's because I find them a pain otherwise when I'm vacuuming. Not usually a fan of tied back curtains but YMMV. It's your home. Try it out and if you like how it looks and it works for you, do it.

Too big there is no space for lamps on either side f the room. I would leave the blinds but pull them up as high as they will go and do your sheer curtains. At night the blinds will provide you privacy,

Yes, it is too big for the space. However, you have it styled nicely.

Can it be returned? If you can swap out the chase section for a single RAF seat, it may help.

I would angle your two chairs so they face each other just slightly.

If you keep the sectional chaise, i would buy one of those "C" type tables that tuck under the sofa.

Another option is to swap the sectional with the chairs. Put the chairs under the window. But then your chaise section is right under your TV, which is not optimal.
