Hello and welcome LadyPat to the KT from another retired teacher. I taught elementary for 30 years. I've been here at the KT since it first started. We have a lot of wonderful people here. You did bring some chocolates with you, right?

Omgoodness are they toy fox terriers or rat terriers? The could be cousins to my little toy fox terrier Mia.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome. Yes, no grandkids yet, so little dogs it is. My dog girls are litter mates, and was told they are half chihuahua and half rat terriers. At 12 pounds, I am not sure about the rat terrier part. The flop eared one looks like a Jack Russell more, and the tongue out one favors chihuahuas more. It was the most fun ever when they were little pups!

I have only been retired 2 years and retired a couple of years early to be more available to my 96 year old mom.

Greetings from a NYC suburb! I joined in 2009 when I was having problems picking out a backsplash for my new kitchen. I then discovered The KT.

We are a great group of women, (and the occasional man) have lively, interesting, serious discussions and at the same time very supportive of each other.

Lots of interesting, thought-provoking conversations take place here, along with some silly, fun ones. But I think what makes the table is the people gathered 'round it. :)
