Need help with exterior paint...thinking green but not too green!
Comments (1)Maybe you already have the perfect color on the siding and only need to change the colors of the trim. Sage green shutters and a red front door, with the red tilting towards orange, not blue so that it blends with the yellow-brown of the bricks. OR, Maybe a shade of gray for the siding that tilts toward brown, which I guess would be a taupe color....See MoreAnyone have green/sage exterior?
Comments (14)ARe you still out there, wonbyherwits ? I am officially dying to see your house color and wondered if the above instructions would work for BM paint? If you are out there, please help yet another person looking for a gray with green cast. Anyone else - We have a long ranch/colonial style house (only has 2 floors in the center and 3 gables show through the roof). It is a rough cedar shake that is currently painted a silvery gray color that they probably thought the cedar would naturally turn to. The house just had a brand new slate roof put on, and we will have copper gutters installed and we have a lot of copper showing through the roof due to a zillion vents being covered! (Will all naturally turn that greenish color.) The roofs of the bay windows are now copper and the copper color actually reflects up onto the fascia. Much of the front is clad in a stone, some of it being an irridescent mica stone (we hate it, but don't have enough cash left to change it, so we make the best of it.) We will keep a white trim b/c the windows and garage doors are all new and white, and the shingles will probably stay the black color they are in the pic. The house across the street looks the same, so I wanted something a little different (and better!) Any suggestions would be very appreciated! Comments (5)Have you tried doing Dry Sage 50%? It will be the same color tone but lighter. On my house my trim was SW River Birch - a gray taupe color. I needed to paint my stucco and wanted a lighter gray and rather than going through a gazillion samples trying to find the right light gray, I did SW River Birch at 25% and it was perfect. SW should even be able to mix a BM color for you if you want to get their sample pots - they're cheaper than BM quarts!...See MoreBlue and green accent walls. Need help
Comments (30)You've got some really great stuff here, especially what look to be carved doors in the dining room. If you want to go boho, I think you need a bolder rug and something that commands the wall better than that piece in the living room. If you do nothing else though, please center and straighten the tapestry....See Morechloebud
