Tropical Hibiscus-post spider-mite damage advice needed

My poor hibiscus. -_- There's two of them in one pot and both of them took some serious spider-mite damage. I sprayed it with a combination of pesticides, vinegar mix and rubbing alcohol over the course of 2 weeks every 4 days. That seems to have gotten rid of the spider mites but one was defoliated (it's down to 2 leaves at this point) and the other is still going yellow it's been 2 weeks since I've seen a spider mite. I'm not overwatering it (the soil is damp but never soaked), I gave it a dose of homemade banana fertilizer for the potassium, it's been recently repotted (standard potting soil) but I'm seeing almost no growth. It gets plenty of sun (it's in a south-east window) but it shouldn't be enough to cause sunburns. Could it be a nutrient deficiency? What am I doing wrong? Some pointers would be lovely.

Oh and the new growth on the defoliated one keeps coming in brown.
