Fixer Upper Thread #10? - Gaines' new home
Comments (38)Haven't we all had our personal idea of our 'dream home', especially when we were younger? The Gaines were not wealthy when they came to HGTV, and with 4 kids, may have been 'making do' with Joanna's clever style, and repurposing of wood, and various thrift store items. IMO, this may have been their dream home, very traditional in style, and quite possibly may never have envisioned it being theirs some day. They may surprise everyone by only doing a few upgrades, and NOT painting everything white. I feel Joanna knows where and when to draw the line on that as all the houses they've redone have been fixer uppers, and not stately homes needing very little....See MoreFixer upper show Magnolia Farms very sad.

Every thing on the local news here has said at their farm home. Now there farm house is part of the business because they do see clients there as we see on the show. But the silos store is not at the farm and don't think there's animals there. . I don't understand the mindset of a person who can just walk up to those adorable little goats and cold blooded shoot them. They had no idea if it would be the little children who found them. Luckily it wasn't....See MoreMore Fixer Upper
Comments (31)We don't have cable anymore, so I really miss being able to see seasons 3 & 4. I like her style obviously. Personally, I believe everyone has the freedom to their own beliefs. I realize that they're on TV and some may feel they should be required to agree to things that go against their Christian beliefs. But, as a Christian, I see things on TV that I won't watch, but I turn the channel. I've also watched gay designers on TV and didn't turn the channel, and I didn't call for the show to end, even if they talked about their lifestyle that I don't agree with. Are you watching it to see what their personal life is like, or for financial or investment advice, or for the decorating/remodeling ideas? I'm sure what goes on the show is not 100% chosen by the couple. They have networks, producers, directors and sponsors to please....See MoreFIXER UPPER help please!!!!!!
Comments (25)You mean there's a house behind all those shrubs . . . Huh, didn't even see it. Seriously: 1) remove and replace all the overgrown landscaping. 2) Paint the shutters a medium to dark taupe (tan/gray) that works with the brick and roof so they aren't so stark. 3) Paint the front door something like a dark blue, purple, etc. something that really draws the eye to the door and makes it a focal point. Honestly I think that's all the house needs....See Moredeegw
