If you are keeping the paint color on the walls then start shopping with a large sample of it to find a sofa that works with the paint color. Or if you are planning on repainting, then shop for a major piece you want in the room and find something you love and repaint around that piece.....the major piece can be a sofa or a rug or a piece of art or even a throw pillow whose colors appeal to you.....then go from there referencing the colors in your inspiration piece..... or you could paint the room white and shop and see what appeals to you...... but you need to shop and see what is out there and then decide what you want first and how you can make it work....either using existing paint on walls or new sofa, rug, or art to drive the color and style.

I like color in my bedroom - that is just personal preference and my choices are not in the more modern gray tones. I might have that same bedroom furniture - and I have gold trim in my bathroom:) My bedroom is light blue and the bathroom walls are a white with a gray undertone - goes with the tile. I think lots of colors are possible. If you prefer some of the more modern "grays" SW Sea Salt has a green / blue cast to it that could be pretty in the room.
