This virus is advanced and has recognized MBAM as a threat to it's existence on your computer and can leave you wide open to much more severe infections that can not only render your computer useless, yet also invite other infections that can steal your personal information and also get into your acct's if you do any online banking, shopping, etc. "Search Redirect Virus". What makes this virus annoying is not the fact you are getting redirected all the time, but the fact it makes itself impossible to remove with your conventional anti virus. It does this by infecting your system in a different way to a normal virus. Normally, a virus would install software or run a process, which can harm your system but your anti virus picks up on this before the infection gets a hold. However, the Redirect Virus manages to infect a system file, allowing to cause the redirects but also evade detection. The system file in question is one used by the operating system to handle redirect requests. Such requests are made whenever you click a search result link. This is a normal process. However, once the virus has infected your system, it manipulates this process to redirect you to random advertisements and sites that are of the highest nature for more infections. bbbluz

From my own recent experience...I agree with Raven. I had shut down IE some time ago and then decided it might be well advised to reopen it to have the option of a second browser. I, basically, live in the Firefox world so it'll take some re-educating to get used to IE again. In any case...IE appeared to be broken when I attempted to resurrect it. My home page wouldn't load correctly and there were a few other little annoyances. I discovered...after tearing my hair out for a while...that it, indeed, was an add-on that was causing the problem. In my case...it was Adobe's shockwave flash and their regular flash. I disabled both and viola...IE v.11 is happy again. When I have more time I'll test other flash versions and mosey around IE to see what else I can do...but for the time being...it's very functional. HTH Anne

When I objected to these constraints, saying I'd be doing members a disservice to provide such a good review, they said: "Thanks for your feedback. The “constraints” that Angie’s List has put in place for reviews that are left after a company resolves a complaint are policies that you agreed to when beginning this process. You are not obligated to write a new review." millworkman, I've heard before the "pay for play" claim about them, and yet they claim the opposite, that reviews are based solely on user experience. How does this pay-to-play supposedly work?

THANK YOU!! I think I REALLY like the white frame idea around the stone. So does my husband. Only part I am not 100% sure about is the side pillars will need to go to the floor since the frame (white wooden mantel and sides) will need to be added after we move in. I will have my husband ask the builder, but I am sure they wont let my husband "tinker" with the fireplace frame before the stonework goes in. I found a photo that may resemble what it may look like with the pillars to the floor on the sides. ALL other photos show the pillars stopping at the hearth as shown in this pic. This isn't the correct look but close enough for the imagination. The fireplace is 5 feet wide. My husband is handy- this is just a backwards way.. Frame should be first, then the stone. Good news is I will have my raised hearth. I like the look. Hope we can pull it off going in a backwards direction (stone first, frame after). IDK. Will show the pics to the builder and see how he can work with us. Needs to be "finished" because of code. So "finished" will probably need to look like the next pic (minus the mantle).
