Dark powder room

The first picture shows my curly maple vanity which will have a black faucet and cambria in Princetown, a purple and goldish color. The wall color picture is not what I will be using. I was thinking of SW Plum Brown or Deep Forest Brown for the walls. Any suggestions? The flooring will be dark brownish black. Any help with wall color will be appreciated.

After looking you the colors you mentioned I like them both and think they would work. I have BM Caponata in my laundry room and really like it.

I would get samples of both to test them in the lighting with your other elements. It going to depend on how dark everything reads when it's all in the room together with your lighting. One of your colors is lighter and the other darker. Though nice and moody I'd still want to make sure there's a little contrast. Whatever artwork you use I'd consider repeating the gold from the vanity top with the frames or even within the actual artwork.

beautiful vanity- I am not sure I follow. The chips in the photo are not any of the colors you mentioned. what are they?

Sorry for the confusion. Those chips shouldn't have come through with the photo of the cambria.

I posted above about Gentle Butterfly. We used it in a stonehouse/playhouse on our property, to paint the wood ceiling and the bookcases. The walls are exposed fieldstone, so we wanted a gender neutral sophisticated pink, too.

Did you try a sample of it on a board before you painted? Who purchased the paint you or your contractor? Did it look like it should reflect like metal. If so then I'd guess either the painters didn't stir it properly or they used the wrong paint. Before you get too upset at anyone go look at the can and see if what was bought was what you asked for.

I have a vessel sink bathroom with orb faucet, antique chrome tp holder, chrome trim on the toilet, and then an old toilet tank with verdigris and brass. So maybe I am not the person to ask! I think if you are going at all rustic, and the rest of the palette is muted, mixing is fine. You need to be more careful in a modern space or a very formal space or with "near misses", ie things that look like you tried to match but failed.

Thank you Louis. The agreeable gray walls are really more a beige and it is temporary. I am looking for a wallpaper above the wainscoting that will be installed next week---something with blue even if just grass paper (I think that is what is called). I just need to decide mirror and lighting for now because that will be what my contractor wants next.

I just saw an 'alligator' textured wallpaper in a powder room online recently and it was gorgeous. It was black for this room. I like the idea of wallpaper.
