I'm close to choosing my first toilet seat bidet. I'm considering these: BB BLISS 2000, BB 1000, SWASH 1000, COCO Bidet 9500RS, Coway BA13, & TOTO 300 (with or w/out the 'e'--electrolized water, supposedly more sanitary). 1 Do I really need to buy an elongated toilet?? My toilet is round, & frankly, it feels nice and comfy to me. Mostly it's only myself, and sometimes my 4 yr old grandson, who'll use this toilet. Some say the round tsbidets are too small. 2 Does anyone have an elongated tsbidet on a round toilet? 3 Has anyone put a white tsbidet on a beige toilet? (Some tsb only come in white, so of course my toilet is beige!) 4 I'm wondering if the "Far Infrared dryers" offer better drying; if they're better than just warm air dryers for people with various 'unmentionable' problems; or if it doesn't matter at all. Or maybe they're all far infrared? 5 Some have a 'Splash Guard'. Do tsbidets squirt water (clean or yucky) from below the seat? Thanks for any guidance!

I don't know about middle east, but yes, those are common in europe. Because washing with water is cleaner than wiping with paper after a #2. If there is a showerhead next to the toilet, as in the picture, it's called a douche. If there is a separate toilet bowl looking thing, it's a bidet. You probably seen those before. I think they are just too messy, so I like the japanese way where there is a automatic water wash system build into the toilet. I have been using them for years now and love it. Toto has one called Washlet. Kohler has the Numi and Duravit has the sensowash. They are more common now and a lot more brands carry them, even costco has them.(not by toto or duravit).. If you want one, Toto is probably the best..

I have left side paralysis due to multiple sclerosis. Just yesterday I was able to swap my standard elongated seat for a Brondell Swash 1400. You can do it, but yes, you’ll need power. The water just t’s from your existing water line, then there’s a smaller water line to the new seat. However, while tightening the fitting to the threaded valve stem underneath the tank I turned it too hard and it broke! It’s plastic of course! So on top of the new seat, I now had to get a new flush valve as well. Strangely enough, I was not able the replace the new valve by myself so I had to call someone. Sorely disappointed and my pride hurt—but all’s well. Go for it!

Ha Ha..I just used an $8000 toilet in the Toto NYC showroom. Not only that, that bathroom had a round sink with a light around the perimeter.....I did not bother asking THAT price!! They do not sell there but you can take the specs and buy elsewhere. If you are in NYC, Simons gives a 25% discount off list for architet and their "friends." They are a fabulous store in which to buy. I ended up with one that will cost me about $1800 WITH the discount..the Legato with the Washlet seat, no wires showing, fully skirted.......crazy cause I bought one similar for less than half in 2018. HOnestly this is the best thing in our tiny florida condo....if you can afford close to that price, give up the automatic toilet top opener and other stuff...there are a lot of options that can make the Totos more reasonable.......ifithere is a showroom (they do not sell there) near you, go..!
