Hi ros and all, well aunt got the death sentence a few days ago, stage 4 Grioblastoma (sp?). We are all very devastated. I talked to her yesterday and she is like me, a straight talker. She doesn't want to be pitied or for anyone to pretend that it's not as serious as it is. It is so much easier for me to talk to realists. So, we talked about how she's getting bombarded with people wanting her to go the natural route and how some friends are claiming she will be cured with a certain kind of tea. She is very overwhelmed with the choices on cancer treatment centers as well. I do know the FDA just approved the Novo TTF cap that can be used 12 hours a day after the initial hit of chemo and radiation, we talked about that and how there is a possibility to buy her some time, save some brain cells and have some better life quality. The U.S studies are conservative with a small study group of less than 300 but still seem to offer some good, the Israeli studies (where invented) go back to 2007 and show an improved life span and in some cases shrinking tumors. So, at least there is something although no cure. As far as we know there is only one trial going on at the moment for her multi tumor brain cancer type. She has close to two weeks before she can start anything due to waiting for the biopsy area to heal. They are taking her off the steroids but I have no idea why. Her speech is getting slurred and she has trouble with balance/ walking but this was there before biopsy and is not a result of...just getting worse and moving fast. I'm still very upset that rotten murderous people are walking the earth healthy and she is sooo good but so ill. A few weeks ago she was sitting in my kitchen, normal, laughing and having a drink.

To answer the question - it never even dawned on me to think about what arsenic did to teeth, but that dream was SO startling and I'm not 100% sure it was a "dream" - per se. I was in that almost-but-not-quite asleep place when I was startled by Addie rushing up to me and as she got VERY close, she bared her teeth and she said - urgently - LOOK AT MY TEETH and I did and that was the end of the dream. However, it sure woke me up! I do feel strongly connected to Addie and I am not sure I can even articulate why. For decades, I've carried ONE old photo around with me from house to house (and marriage to marriage...) and it's the picture of Anna Hoyt Whitmore - Addie's older sister. One day I walked downstairs and into my dining room (where this picture hangs) and I feel like I heard someone say, "You're on the right track. Don't give up. Keep going forward with this." I really do feel almost a calling to see where this leads. If I had the money, I'd have her exhumed, but it's not just the cost of exhumation, but also the legal fees. An exhumation would have to be court ordered at this point, and that's where the serious dough will come in. Down deep in my bones, I know that Addie will rest in peace when the truth is revealed. And that furniture of my father's - oh boy - that's another story but now we're learning that there's a better than 50% chance it came from Enoch's HOUSE!!!! Can you believe it? We always heard from Father that it was an exhibition piece and I wasn't even sure what that meant. We also knew it was made in the mid-1890s. We also knew that it came into my Father's life when he was 13 or 14 (about 1933 or 1934). Two weeks ago, I was talking with the owner of The Fargo Mansion (B&B) and he said that Enoch Fargo would tell anyone who'd listen that all his furnishings were "exhibition pieces" from the 1893 World's Fair (in Chicago). That perked up my ears. And then the B&B owner said, "In the 1930s, Mattie Hoyt Fargo (Wife #3) decided to sell the house (Enoch died in 1921) and she invited the Hoyt family into the house to take whatever they wanted out of the house. We understand that Mattie's sister and cousins pretty well cleaned the place out." Well, my father's grandmother was Anna Hoyt (cousin of Mattie Hoyt) and that was like the missing puzzle piece! So now I *suspect* that my father's furniture might have come from the Fargo mansion. Rose

I did go to see the movie, and was not blown away by any means, but also not completely disappointed by it either. I was curious how they were going to apply the book so it made sense in a film version and I think they did the best they could. I went with two friends who did not read the book and both of them really enjoyed the movie. I explained to them that it was a "candy-coated" version of the book. Everything portrayed in a much lighter way than in the book. It lost a lot of the charm of the book but I wasn't upset by it like I usually am after reading a book and watching the film adaptation. I've seen far worse than this. Johngalt: As far as your issue with the wedding playing out with the older Henry, I think you forget that even when his future self is present in the past, that is the way the past happened, even if he isn't aware of it at the time. Remember that as Clare grows up she knows Henry without the present Henry being aware of it. He doesn't meet her until their 1991 meeting although she knows him intimately. So, even the first time around, the wedding occurred with the future Henry stepping in for the present Henry. Which is why Henry has no free will outside of what is happening to him at the moment. His future is decided as well as his past.
