I am so thrilled that my name as chosen...Thank's to JOJO post i found it out after reading her post up thread...That makes me very happy everyone!!! Ok...now...the winner...2 roundtrip tickets to the "Ponderosa ranch" LOL...oh..really..i know...To the islands to pick out my own "rosa" LOL...You guys and gals are the best!!! This was so much fum!!!...I have never won anything....The only time i do "win"...is when i am working and then it comes down to me or the passenger to turn off their electronic devices....i usually win then...LOL... But this takes the cake!!! I tell them...(Fereral offense...or turn it off!! LOL...) I usually win...or back to the gate!!! Then I still win!!! They are off of the plane!!! Thank you for asking! Pls do not declaw - more than just the claw is removed, it would be like removing all your fingertips up to the first joint. More so than dogs, cats use their paws/claws a lot like hands - playing, grabbing things. Some cats have personality changes that aren't good. Some develop litterbox problems because they learn to associate digging in the box with pain in their paws (post-surgery). It's not uncommon to lose muscle tone in their backs because they are not stretching and working the back muscles as they should. Instead - teach cat to enjoy having her paws carressed and massaged - press the pad to push claws in and out - work this into your cuddle routines. My boys from the shelter couldn't stand having their paws touched at first but now they just LOVE a good foot massage - who doesn't, really??? Do this before you attempt to clip the claws. After you get them tolerating claw clipping, you can keep the claws trimmed very short, but be very careful to never to cut the pink vein. This takes away part (not all) of the impulse to claw furniture, the other part of the equation is having something like a scratching post to use in place of the furniture. Not enough to just yell at the cat to stop - have to redirect. Cats claw to leave their mark - there are scent glands around the claws so they are leaving their scent and I think a shredded couch actually looks good to a cat. In the wild scratches on trees would've been a warning to other cats entering their territory. Around doorways is a favorite place to claw. Instead of using scratching posts we tacked up carpet on the wood framing of some door ways. Whatever you use, cats should be able to stretch full length when they claw or they won't like it. Part of my strategy too fwiw - furniture that isn't so attractive to cats - eg bamboo couch/chair with smooth fabric cushions instead of a nubby texture upholstered couch.

Hmm, interesting. I'm all for the tiny house movement, but anyone who's so snotty about building a nice small house (mini-mcmansions!) would have more credibility if she weren't touting those particular constructions. I'm sorry, but stapling rusty tin cans on the outside of your house is just trashy--it's been around a loooong time (not a new brilliant idea) and it's the sort of thing that caused municipalities to come up with all the restrictions that make it so hard to build a tiny house most places. If I were anti-tiny-house, I'd love that video as ammunition for why we should keep the old laws and not allow them.

I’ve now watched four episodes and I find it disingenuous that they are ripping out perfectly durable finishes that were au courant for their time and pretending their replacements are ”timeless.” NOTHING is timeless! That’s why kitchens are updated, redecorated or demolished every twelve years or so. Their timeless designs will be similarly replaced in a similar time frame and they will probably do some of the remodels of their own work. I also do not like their embarrassing devotion to anything they perceive as English or British and they invoke both words far too often, sounding like schoolgirls drooling over the Beatles. They openly say they are just trying to make everything look as British as they can, and when admiring their own work ask each other for reassurance…..”It really does look British, doesn’t it, Mom?” That said I do like elements of their style, but on the whole I like Lauren Liess better for the whole natural materials and neutral palettes thing because her interiors always incorporate unexpected elements. The Stoffers have nailed the expected, not exciting work but they’ve got their style down.
