Comments (53)GG3300, you sure that was the link ya intended, goes to a myspace page. While I'm here, I might as well hijack the thread some more.... Well spring has sorta sprung up here, pret'near all the snow is gone, just a few patches on the north side of tree lines and such. Got my first 6 truck loads of yard waste today. Looks like mostly bags of leaves from last fall but some are the grass thatch stuff from peoples lawns. Time to get at 'er I guess. Although they are talking periods of snow for tomorrow. Hope it holds off until the afternoon at least cause there should be another 10 loads delivered tomorrow. Lloyd...See MoreThis thread IS about gardening :)
Comments (10)Yes, Marcia the pond is new, started it this spring. I was somewhat holding back on the landscaping around it because most of July was just too darned hot to work in! Thankfully we had cooler temperatures this past week, so I could actually move some rock around without getting heat stroke! The good thing about the tours, is that it gave me the kick in the pants that I needed to get more done than I had ever imagined! You're wise to limit the number of projects beore next summer. Depending on the size of pond you would want to put in, I think a pond is an all summer project. Mind you, I did start out with a tiny one to see if I would enjoy it. It was just half of a rain barrel that I faux finished on the outside with concrete. So a small water feature would definately be do-able for your time line, but I don't want to add anymore to your list ;) Tabardca, I'll try to get some pix of the patio later today. I'm a bit hesitant to post them yet, as I still haven't planted the thyme between them(yes, I admit, I'm a bit of a perfectionist!). I want to make sure the grass is good and dead before I plant. Comments (50)arcy-when we spoke of a variety of foul creatures, i thought instantly of big bang! lol so to be safe lets add - bring broom stick pound down all furnishings before moving. lol mamap - at one time i would have believed you, but my experience proved that was not so. It was,as so often is, a warm florida afternoon when i was trying on the lovely cashmere sweater. I know that noone touched me, it was not 5 minutes , before the next sweater, that i was itching like mad. I thought it was because the clothes were making me hot, sweaty, and itchy. don't know why it stood out so in my brain but it does. oh that couch reminds me of a lovely high back bench i have. it is walnut - i had never seen that wood before, and i bought for $5 straight off the neighbor's porch. with the bird poop and horse hair included. i adore it....See MoreDecor On A Shoestring- The Deals and Steals Thread number two
Comments (35)(yes the tees were 30% off and I went- and bought not tees..)) never I spend so much as in these months. Probably phychologically easier to buy stuff for somebody else..as is easier to cook for somebody else..you find inner justification where it was none..)) meanwhile Wisteria has two events-something that they call "Greetings From India"..I like grasshoper pillow cover and scalloped stool..)) (still mostly expensive stuff. at least what I liked there) and they have spend/get thing with a promo code VERYMERRY (was it also them who had "HOLLYJOLLY"? lol. ) now Pottery Barn has all sorts of things going on. Up to 30% of bedding, up to 25% on some furnishings etc. Not my favorite store btw. But. we do have (craigslisted) girl's bed from them, (craigslisted) old huge and wonderful desk from them, and totally amazing bedding that I could afford because I had their gift card. Which I'm using right now. It's as girly as can be but so gorgeous my husband expressed his wow.. it was this one: https://www.potterybarn.com/products/helena-embroidered-printed-duvet-cover-sham/?pkey=cduvet-covers-shams%7Cpatterned-duvet-covers-shams&isx=0.0.1177 (I bought it for my DD but later her room shaped into this mostly analogous color combo..)...See MoreRelated Professionals
