Comments (2)Hi Alexis: I understand what you mean by the orchid pot needs to keep saturated with water. I need to make something similar and found this information on making hypertufa. It might be what you could use. Just make sure to cure it so that it doesn't "burn" your orchids. This website has good info. Good luck with your project. Comments (8)Hydrotap is not available in the US and Australian companies won't ship to us here. Believe me I THOROUGHLY researched that angle even debated having it shipped to family in Australia and them bringing it but there would have been no warranty on it at all. We ended up with a RO sytem with an Evercold water chiller and an insta-hot hooked up to the same faucet. We purchased the system at cleanwaterstore.com and I think it came in around $1000 with the chiller, heater, ro system and the dual faucet. We LOVE ours...See MoreHow Does/Does a Slot Drain Sink Hold Water?
Comments (15)Shaving cream and shaver stays in the shower. Mirror is overrated. My face looks the same every day, so I don't need a mirror. I just memorized where I put my nose, my ears, and my mouth :-) Seriously though, I do realize that this is a personal choice. For myself, I can't think of any better option. I hate when I occasionally need to shave at a sink when travelling. It's always so messy. But I do realize it takes a little getting used to, when you first learn how to shave in the shower. Also, it helps that we designed our shower niche to have dedicated storage for my razor and for the shaving cream. I could see how things would be annoying, if you can't figure out a solution for that. But if that's your main issue, you'd think that there should be a way to fix this problem. There are lots of shower caddy systems; some better than others....See MoreWhat Plants / Situations Require Soil With LOW Water Holding Capacity?
Comments (30)9a can get tricky with some of these winter growers because you are right on the edge of hardiness. Warmer microclimates like near structures and south facing walls will be your friends. You might have to practice some zone pushing techniques on those super cold nights like covering plants with a sheet or wrapping them in Xmas lights. Portulacaria afra would probably be a good one too it you can find a specimin that is already pretty big....See Morerobinswfl
