Comments (8)Moni We've tidied, mostly. There was much to tidy, actually. Ed took out one of the large holly bushes today. I can't stand that the entrance is so closed in. I think I'll want him to take out the front one as well, but we'll let it sit for a few weeks. It is so much fun going out every morning and seeing the continual change in the yard. She didn't plant much in the way of flowers but I put lots of tulips in containers. Hostas, oak leaf hydrangeas, new growth on azaleas. It's really quite a wonder and has already given me so much joy. And of course I've been wintersowing. Hey, one question: all of the stones we have...what could I plant around that would be really really low, pretty and would spread? Thanks!...See MoreKathleen is back!

Comments (25)About two hours ago we had a thundershower. I'd just straightened the pole holding the strings holding the pea vines, that had fallen over while I was away, braced it, stretched the strings holding them, added another, and was starting to pick peas. Got beans that need picking to take to the churches ... but not enthused about picking with boots on. I know ... I'm not supposed to kill the kid in me ... and I may be edging up toward second childhood ... ... but when it comes to picking bush beans in mud ... ... I ain't there, yet!
