Another ID, Please!
Comments (2)To me that leaf and bud looks like Rudbeckia. What variety I couldn't say unless I saw the flower open. If it opens to a daisy like flower I'm right. If not then post again when it opens. Post anyway and maybe we can give you the variety...See MoreAnother ID please
Comments (10)Russ, I would be happy to share anything with you you want. Also, I'll tell you any of my sources you want. Just let me know. I bought this from the same guy I bought the patens (I asked for an ID of way earlier) that piqued your interest then as well. He says these are just immature plants. If you look at the JC book you were referencing before under fischeri, he does show an immature fischeri at the base of the mature plants that doesnt look anything like this. And for that matter, in the same picture, the adult fischeri has strong markings even on the older growths where as mine has only minor markings on the new growth that fades to an almost solid green on the old growths. I did look at that book and compare but it's so hard to compare a picture to a plant sometimes. Oh well. I appreciate all the feedback though!...See MoreAnother ID please thanks

Also the pistil length seem to be quite different. Time to check out Henbane relatives. Regards Fof...See More- 6 years ago
