Comments (27)James, what neat pictures, I never seen this before, the snow on the beautiful fig leaves, very nice, you could take these pictures, print them and hang on your wall in a nice frame, they are really pretty. Very Good. Martin, i love that song, it is so pretty and you sure know the words, Keep singing this. I find myself humming songs alot during the day, My dogs, Nigel and Clovelly and Julie want to run away when I sing. I love Dino and especially Tony Bennett. My mother never missed Dean Martins show. He was alot of fun. I wonder what he died from? I wonder how old. I know they really enjoyed their figs. My husband bought me a DVD titled, " The Italian Americans" it was interesting 3 dvd's and all the It.American stars talked about their childhoods growing up like we do. They mentioned a few things about the fig trees and figs in their back yards. Like to get a hold of one of Dean Martins fig and see what type it is. His family, i Believe his grandparents came from the same Region in Italy I come from. We'll have to see. Maggie...See MoreCoastal Bend Swap Invitation and Details

Comments (47)This was the best sale ever. I got to meet George, he is so nice. I also got to meet Joan and her husband. Lynn, you have competition now girl! I don't know if Joan had to rent a trailer, to get all those plants back to Ark. She said she would post a picture of them when she got home. K, and I did really well. I picked up my Mr Ambassador, Large Raspberry Sundae, Bill Moragne, these are all very large plants. I also picked up JL Allison, JL Elizabeth Thornton Rainbow, JL Hot Pink, Pretty Princess, Tropical Storm( a rooted cutting), and Fabulous( Germans said it has the best bloom and fragance, and I had to have it) Pretty Princess, Fabulous, and JL Allison are all over 2 ft tall .All the Tropical Storm rooted plants were sold out before the sale was open to us, I was just lucky enough to get the rooted cutting, it was only $17. The sale is open to the sellers at 9am, some plants were sold out before we even came thru the door. I came back with money in my pocket, so my husband is happy. K, will post pictures later, but after he took the pictures we found out that the hugh 4 tip Mr Ambassador was still inside the truck. Comments (27)Estrella - I like my living room to be the first thing visible from the front door...mainly because it is the one room in the house that I can usually keep picked up and looking good. As far as I'm concerned, a dining room that is used daily should be within just a few steps of the kitchen. Maximum distance? 10 feet maybe? I've never understood a house where you have to carry food through the great room and then down a hallway practically to the front door before you finally reach the dining room? Who wants to carry food halfway across the house and dirty dishes back halfway across the house? Just more chances for drips, spills, and broken dishes. I suppose if you only plan to use your formal dining room on very special occasions and also have a pretty serving cart that you can load all the food and dishes onto and then wheel it into the dining room, then I guess 25 or 30 feet would not be too much of a problem. Personally though, I'd rather not have to trek that far when I realize - usually right in the middle of Thanksgiving or Christmas Dinner - that I forgot to set the butter on the table. And of course, if one happens to have a cook plus a serving maid or butler, then who cares how far away the kitchen is from the dining room? It's the "help's" job to see that food gets to the table still warm and that nothing gets dropped/broken along the way. Don't I wish?!!! LOL!...See More- 6 years ago
