Is it the "Trivection" oven? Advantium?

I have a 240 advantium speedcook and a single double oven. It's all worked very well for the last 8 years.

GE speedcook ovens are very easy to use. However, my experience is that they are not reliable. YMMV.

Advantium top bulb burned out within 6 months. The oven had to be removed and taken apart to replace it. It burned out again two years later. The magnetron died after three years. It was professionally replaced. Two years later, dead again - this time in spectacular fashion (flash, bang, smoke) and there was no repairing it. I replaced it with a JennAir speedcook oven - it's not as easy to use, but it does a better job. It is also heavier than the GE, with larger-gauge wires.

Trivection magnetron died twice in seven years - not a cheap repair, but relatively easy, provided you considered removing the oven and re-installing easy. For me? Never again. GE is entirely off my list.

I have Trivection....I've had it since early 2008 and have had no problems! I really like it...especially the crisp baked potatoes in 17 to 24 minutes (depending on how "done" you like them.) I was hoping I would be able to get it again in a few years when we build our retirement home, but it appears GE has discontinued them for both the Profile and Monogram lines.

We have had our Advantium since 2013 and love it. I don't usually use it for things that I can do in my gas oven, but can if I need an extra oven, which is why I bought it. We use it for baking potatoes and cooking casseroles and veggies, and reheating everything.

I had both an 220 Advantium and a Trivection. We used the speed cook on our Trivection all of the time but only used the Advantium as a microwave--it turned out not to be a good use of money for us. (My BFF used its features more than I did)

I assumed we'd get another Trivection oven in the home we're building but since GE has discontinued them I'll have to figure something else out.

We did have some trouble with all of our GE appliances (except the cooktop) but the repair people told us that was true of every brand--the electronic controls just went bad more frequently.
