Epipremnum aureum 'Marble Queen'

I have very little light in my place. Ranked in order of tolerance, going on 3 years of experience here: 1. Heartleaf Philodendron - not usually available in big box stores; seek this one out at a local nursery; stay away from variegated types; it is a vine, though 2. Aspidistra, i.e., "cast iron plant" - the plain green variety, not the variegated ones - these grow vertical, so good choice 3. Chinese Evergreen - stick with darker green varieties, avoid light or variegated types - you'll find a lot of these in shopping malls and hotels 4. Sansevieria - anything not variegated. I have a jade dwarf variety that puts up with a lot of abuse, including cat chewing - but the larger sans I have managed to kill Since you have very little light, I would recommend you focus on a very dry, fast draining soil. I usually mix coarse orchid mix, a pinch of lime, and about 25%-50% perlite for soil mix when I have very little light, because you do not want root rot. This will become very apparent in the winter. Clay/terracotta pots are preferable. You would much rather water less than too much.

Older leaves will yellow and fall off as they age - you can remove them or let nature do it. Top dressing is okay too - I do that to a lot of my pots and the plants respond nicely. I have a feeling your plant isn't getting enough light. I move mine outdoors for summer and then under lights for winter (12 hours a day). They do pretty good but then I am not that big into pothos (just have a few in the mix of things) Do not keep the pot soaking wet. Water as needed. Pothos in the tropics is impressive but weedy too. The leaves get very large the higher it climbs. I allowed one of my pothos to climb a tree back in 2018 and the vine and leaves got much bigger than at the pot. my golden pothos (or philodendron?) is in a coir lined basket so it needs watering more often the ones in plastic pots. This pothos has been in the same pot for 10 years or longer. I top it off every few years and cut off the long vines when it is ready to bring back indoors for winter.

I find this highly variegated pothos which is called NJoy or Pearls and Jade (there is a difference but I can't see it with my untrained eye) a bit less vigorous and somewhat fussier than the good old golden pothos. I think I would pull it out of the pot and see what the roots are doing. Try repotting half of it in a mix of potting soil and add some additional perlite. You could try putting half of it in water to see if you can get some new roots going. Cut off any roots that look "sick". Or buy a new one. I do agree with Babka that sometimes it's just not worth all the trouble. Especially with plants that are readily available.
