Failed seal on canned peaches?

last modified: 9 years ago

I canned some peaches late last night (WB). I heard the lids snapping shut, and was exhausted from a long day, so I crashed. I was up early this morning to find one lid had failed to seal. :( I stuck it in the fridge.... I assume it's ok to use as it was only out of WB for about 6 hrs. -- true? and how long can it wait in the fridge to be used?

BTW: I planted a peach tree 7 years ago, then another 4 years ago... I'm in z5, did everything wrong, and yet I have my very first homegrown peaches! BUSHELS of them!!! I'm eating/using as fast as possible and also running out of people to give them to! This photo is from when I initially started to pick -- now they're coming faster and bigger! All I wanted was ONE good homegrown peach. lol! (ETA: and they're organic!)
