Thanks for all the help and suggestions. For better or for worse as I took all 24 tomatoes out and as I said I filled back in to the grade that surrounds the bed. It is close to what it would have been if I just removed the sod and put the bed on top. I tamped as I filled in so it would be as solid as I could make it with 20lb hand tamper and a 15lb patio block dropped from over my head. Some of the fill was a little rocky but I did get a couple some good sticky clay layers in there to fill in the all the voids and make it as impermeable as the surrounding ground. It was contoured with about a 2 inch drop both along the width and length dumping to the lowest corner of the bed which is above ground so it can drain out. I also put in a drain from highest to the lowest point hoping that would catch any excess and dump it out. Looking at my soil mix either it had way too much organic material in it or it was just that way because it was soaked, I remixed it with some top soil, agricultural sand, peat and vermiculite and through in a some gypsum in between some of the layers as I filled it back in. I put in some super phosphate to hopefully get some roots going quickly also. The bed was raised another 4.5" inches also to meet the bed on its right. The tomatoes are now back in their final resting place, I guess that sounds bad. Hopefully with the grade coming back up to meet the rest, the slope, the drain, the remixed soil, and the additionaly height the bed will drain properly and the tomatoes will come back to life. Some of them took it worse than others but I hope they make it, if not I guess I can sucker off the other 12 I have in containers and use those.

Palimpsest - will the pinkish hues work well with the dark beams? DD has never been into pink.. Any other pale neutrals that can work with the beams? I used pale powder on the ceilings in the master bedroom with theresa's green on the walls. Like it there as the room is facing east and the color just seems to morph with the light. Abundantblessings - I will check out cabbage white and borrowed light.. From the website, I too prefer borrowed light. Liriodendron- frankly when I was uploading the picture, I too was surprised at the amber color.. But IRL it feels loud, hot and brash. The painter knew I was planning to change the color so he was not very careful during staining:( The louvred doors are just primed and need to be panted. I was planning to paint it the same color as the walls in eggshell finish. That way, I hope it will just blend in. The ceiling currently is BM cream in regal select matte. I know what you are saying about the ceiling colors. In the other bedroom that is similar to DD's room, I painted the walls in BM HC-1 Castelton Mist and ceiling in HC-3 Greenmount Silk. They work well with the dark wood beams. F&B is expensive but they seem to give a matte appearance similar to lime wash which is the traditional finish on the adobe bricks. FB actually makes an excellent excellent lime wash but they do not sell it in North America. The other lime wash options I have tried did not work well.. These walls had been painted many times before, so I am OK with painting it.

Did you run the shower and see the water start? Or did you see signs of water at that point and make that conclusion? Make sure you know what is what. Start first by dumping water down the drain from another source. Like a garden hose or buckets of water. If you see water then you know for sure it is the shower floor, curb or drain. If you don't try filling up a bucket of water with the shower head. If you see water now it could be a plumbing line issue and not a fault in the shower. Water travels a long way. Don't rule out an exterior leak issue or a problem from another source....

I agree that the metal roof in bronze and the other roof in gray is OK, but I think the issue is that the house color is too close to the asphalt roof color. If the house color was something with more green SW Verdigreen or blue SW Cloudburst in it so that it didn't look like it was trying to match the asphalt roof, the brown metal wouldn't look as odd. Try uploading the house photo to one of the paint websites and picking a different paint color. I think the porch roof should match the dormer roof to tie the metal across the front of the house and ground it. There is a lot of white, but one way you could minimize it a little is to pick a darker color for the gutters and facia that matches the roof instead of matching the trim, or paint the downspouts to match the color of the house.
